*TOPIC*: THE PRICE FOR GROWTH! (PART 1)
*SCRIPTURE*: Galatians 4:1-2 (NIV)
1)What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate.
2)The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father.
Some years ago I visited a friend who had a child of about ten(10) month old then, and while I was in the house ,I saw how the young lad was attempting to stand upon his feet but would fall many times yet he kept trying. The Lord started speaking to me as my eyes were fastened to the child trying so hard to pull through.
He said to me, Son...there are prices everyone must pay at every stage of their lives if they must experience GROWTH.
If only we know the prophecies written over us and the timeframe within which we should fulfill those prophecies "WE WILL PAY THE PRICE AND MAKE A MOVE"
In my years serving Jesus, having been privileged by God to pastor churches, raise disciples and presided over an assignment. I can boldly share with you by experience...
FOUR FACTORS THAT HINDERS GROWTHπππ
1) UNDEFINED PURPOSES
Purpose properly defined is essential to our growth as it is solely responsible for the decisions we make. It furnishes our decisions in the kind of friends we keep, places we go, people we identify with and how we maximize time.
One of the wisest words I've ever heard is..."WHEN THE PURPOSE OF A THING IS NOT KNOWN...ABUSE IS INEVITABLE" the value to which people hold or see you is solely dependent on how clearly your purpose is defined.
Jesus defined his purpose from age twelve when he told his family in Luke 2:49 that "they should know that by NOW he should be about his father's business" I love the phrase "THEY SHOULD KNOW" Similarly in Luke 4 when he had returned from the wilderness and entered the synagogue he found where his assignment was written in (verse 18) and the Bible says he read it loud to the people's ears.
