*Some Liturgical Aberrations to Avoid as a Catholic (4)*
Learning is a continuous process. As Catholics, we must continue to learn, unlearn, and relearn. Let's consider the following liturgical aberrations to avoid:
*1. Incorrect Use of Blessed Items*
Mixing unblessed water with Holy Water is forbidden, as is combining blessed salt with unblessed water.
*2. Respect for the Sanctuary*
Apart from those participating in the Liturgy, it's forbidden for individuals to enter or exit the Sanctuary unnecessarily. Discussions should take place in the Sacristy before Mass. Only the Priest may invite someone into the Sanctuary.
*3. Use of Unblessed Devotional Objects*
Using unblessed items like Rosaries, Scapulars, or Medals for prayer or wearing them is prohibited.
*4. Handling Blessed Objects*
Taking sacred, blessed objects to another Priest for re-blessing is forbidden.
*5. Maintaining Reverence During Mass*
Refrain from chatting and watching videos (e.g., TikTok) during Mass. Keep your phones away; you have 22 hours for phone use. Can't you spare 2 hours for worship?
Let's learn, relearn, and unlearn to become better Christians.
