THE DANGER OF NORMALIZING LONELINESS
“It Is Not Good That Man Should Be Alone”
Text: GEN2:18 Holy Bible
Beloved, we are living in a generation where many people are beginning to say:
“Marriage is no longer working.”
“I would rather stay single forever.”
“Marriage brings pain and problems.”
But the question is:
Is avoiding marriage truly the solution to marital crisis?
Can the abuse of a thing cancel the purpose of God for that thing?
No!
The failure of some marriages does not mean God’s original design for marriage has failed.
From the very beginning, God Himself instituted marriage. The Bible says:
“And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” — Holy Bible
Marriage was not created by culture, society, or government.
Marriage was God’s idea.
THE PURPOSE OF WOMANHOOD IN GOD’S PLAN
Woman was created intentionally and purposefully by God.
Every woman must understand divine purpose and align with God’s design.
Let us look at the word W.O.M.A.N
W — Wonderfully Made
A woman is wonderfully designed by God to complement the man.
The Bible says:
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made...” — Holy Bible
You are not a mistake.
You are God’s workmanship, specially designed as a suitable helper and companion.
Pray for divine direction so you connect with God’s ordained partner
O — Obedient in Character
Biblical submission is not slavery; it is alignment with divine order and righteousness.
“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.” — Holy Bible
A godly woman carries humility, wisdom, honor, and peace.
Pray for grace to walk in obedience to God’s principles.
M — Mother of Children
Motherhood was part of God’s creative intention.
“Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth...” — Holy Bible
Children are a blessing from the Lord and part of kingdom continuity.
Pray for fruitfulness and grace to nurture godly generations.
A — Abled Assistant
A woman is created to strengthen, support, encourage, and build.
She brings stability where there is confusion, comfort where there is pain, and wisdom where there is pressure.
The virtuous woman builds her home and strengthens her husband.
Pray for wisdom and capacity to fulfill destiny.
N — None Like You
Marriage is a covenant of oneness.
“And they two shall be one flesh...” — Holy Bible
A godly union creates deep companionship, intimacy, and partnership under God.
When God joins two people together, they become helpers of one another’s destiny.
GOD STILL LEADS TODAY
Beloved, God still guides His children.
The problem is not marriage itself; the problem is entering marriage without God.
Many people seek relationships before seeking intimacy with God.
When you know God personally, He orders your steps and leads you into His perfect will.
The deeper your relationship with God, the clearer His direction becomes.
IS EVERYONE CALLED TO STAY SINGLE?
Jesus spoke about eunuchs, and Apostle Paul also discussed singleness, but singleness is a special calling, not an excuse born out of fear or disappointment.
The Bible says:
“Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.” — Holy Bible
If God has not called you into a life of celibacy, do not reject His institution because of the failures of others.
THE PURPOSES OF MARRIAGE
Marriage is for:
Purity — protection from sexual immorality
Power — two are stronger than one
Procreation — raising godly children
Population — replenishing the earth
Peace — companionship and comfort
Protection — emotional, spiritual, and physical support
“Two are better than one...” — Holy Bible
CONCLUSION
Do not allow the failures of men redefine the counsel of God.
Marriage is still honorable.
Godly homes still exist.
Kingdom marriages still work when God is at the center.
If you are called to marriage, prepare yourself spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.
Seek God first.
Hear His voice.
Follow His leading.
And remember:
“He knoweth the end from the beginning.” — Holy Bible
Shalom.
