GODFATHERISM: THE NEW CULTURE IN NIGERIA(IF YOU MUST KNOW)
THOSE AT THE FAVOUR OF THE SYSTEM..👇
-I am happy today because my mentor is up there to lift me and put me at the right place.
-I am okay with everything going on because I am not a victim and I will never be
-I am not bothered because he is there for me.
-I am not here to argue who offers what but to enjoy the opportunity of who knows who.
He is my uncle/my father's friend, my credentials are not necessarily needed.
I know him and he knows me, so, follow who know road. REALLY?
YOU MUST KNOW THIS ..
If you are one of those individuals that feels better and receive comfort and pleasure in the godfatherism system here in our society today, have you taken your time to ask yourself, what if I have nobody in that position tomorrow to help me?
GODFATHERISM THE TOPIC
In Nigeria today, godfatherism is a form of political corruption in which an influential individual handpicks another, often less influential candidate, to attain leadership in order to exert authority or influence.
NOTE: GODFATHERISM has gone beyond the field of politics, making it a culture in all areas, ranging from schools, churches, mosques, courts, offices and the likes.
This is not the normal culture we are used to and this shouldn't be our way of life at any point in time.
IT IS A PITY...
Go to schools/ instructions, you will see where merited applicants/candidates that has no one to help them are denied admissions because they only have the requirements but have nobody in the system.
Go to offices, you will find out that a lot of applicants missed out on their well deserved jobs because they have nobody in the system.
Go to churches, where pastors enrolled their candidates into theology studies for them to become pastors, whereas, there have been devoted members with genuine call to pastor over the people of God but their vocations are denied.
Same happened in the mosques.
The right people are not in their right places because of this so called culture.
