Marriage Requires Submission and Responsibility (Stay out, if you’re not ready).

Marriage is not just about love or emotions; it is a divine institution established by God with order, responsibility, and mutual submission. A woman who does not want to be under the leadership of a husband should avoid marriage, because Scripture clearly teaches that the husband is the head of the wife.

The Bible says:

“For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church…” — Ephesians 5:23

Likewise, a man who cannot lead, guide, protect, and lovingly govern his home should also avoid marriage. God expects a man to lead with wisdom, love, and authority, not weakness or confusion.

“But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man…” — 1 Corinthians 11:3

Marriage without order brings conflict. God is not the author of confusion. Therefore, before entering marriage, both man and woman must understand and accept God’s pattern for the home.
