A SUNDAY OF POWER, SACRIFICE & CELEBRATION!
🔥👑
What a glorious time in God's presence yesterday at FGC Light House, Pyakasa during our Celebration of the Holy Ghost Service!

We were deeply blessed as Pastor Mrs Goodness Nwanchukwu broke down the Word of Life, teaching us on "A Life of Sacrifice." We were reminded that true spiritual impact and lasting intimacy with God require a heart fully surrendered, placing our all on the altar without holding back.

The glory didn't end there! Right after service, the church family came together in grand style to honour and celebrate our shepherds—Pastor Peter & Pastor Mrs. Goodness Nwachukwu—as our July Birthday Celebrants! 🥳🎂

Thank you, Pastors, for living the very life of sacrifice you preach. We love, honour, and pray that this new age brings you double honour, fresh grace, and supernatural strength!

TOPIC: THANKSGIVING THAT MULTIPLIES 📈🙏

No matter how hard things get, you owe God praise. You might not have arrived at your desired position yet, but a failure is simply a man who fails and refuses to rise. You must never lose your sense of gratitude, because what you complain about will always reduce, but what you thank God over has the ability to increase. Based on Psalm 67:5 & 6, giving thanks is the ultimate key that multiplies you. When you thank Him for what He has done, you are giving Him reasons to do more. We exist to praise Him, and as John 6:11 reminds us, thanksgiving is the divine oil that multiplies the works of your hands.

When you thank God, you are saying, "Father, you can do more". Wherever praise is offered, immediate access to multiplication is granted, bringing solutions, increase, and favour. This is a weapon we must actively apply to our daily lives, because according to Proverbs 11:24 and Mark 8:6, holding back praise leads to lack, but gratitude brings an overflow.

Let us pray together:
Appreciate God for the life you are living, your children, and loved ones. By the power of thanksgiving, every area of your life is multiplied this week.

TOPIC: WALKING IN LOVE WITH GOD 💡❤️

As followers of Christ, there are simply some things we have to let go. We cannot claim to walk with God while clinging to the habits of darkness. Today at Favoured Generation Church (FGC) Light House, Pastor Goodness Nwanchukwu brought a searching word reminding us to examine our walk with God before time runs out. Do you want the rapture to come before you realize where you truly stand?
According to Ephesians 5:1, we are called to be imitators of God. This means things like fornication and compromise should not even be named among us. True fellowship with God requires us to completely abandon the unfruitful works of darkness and carry ourselves even in how we dress—with decency and honor. We must intentionally seek to understand what the true will of God is for our lives, rather than living carelessly.
The beautiful truth of the gospel is found in Romans 8:1: when you truly believe in Christ Jesus, no man can condemn you. However, that freedom is an invitation to engage deeply in spiritual things, not a license to gratify the desires of the flesh. This life is vanity upon vanity; our only focus should be to live right and let the love of God be shed abroad in our hearts.
We must bring this love into the house of God by how we care for one another. True love does not condemn a falling brother or sister, it corrects them in grace. As Romans 8:35 reassures us, nothing shall separate us from the love of God. Knowing this, we must repent, guard our hearts, and refuse to hold grudges against anyone. Heaven is real, hell is real, and the fear of the Lord means hating evil (Proverbs 8:13). There are many ways to attract God's blessing, but it all begins when we wholeheartedly work for Him and present ourselves as pure vessels.
Let us make this our prayer this week: Father, direct my path. Help me to be useful, and engrace me to be a vessel unto honor in Your house. Amen.

THE ABSALOM GENERATION VS. THE DAVID GENERATION ✨

There is a profound danger in having outward beauty, gifts, and charisma without the character and grace to sustain them. God is not looking for people who merely look the part; He is looking for hearts that are fully aligned with His will. Today at FGC Light House, Pyakasa, Pastor Peter Nwachukwu delivered a piercing and timely message titled: "The Absalom Generation".

The scripture tells us that Absalom was the most beautiful man in all of Israel, deeply adored for his appearance. Yet, behind the flawless exterior was a spirit of pride, unforgiveness, and rebellion. The "Absalom Generation" represents a people who are gifted and brave, but completely stayed out of God's order, living with offenses they refuse to let go.

Three distinct markers of the Absalom Generation:
1. They Steal Hearts and Condemn Others: Absalom sat at the gate to manipulate people, using his charm to condemn authority and bring others down just to make himself look right. We must stop speaking against those God has placed over us. Remember when Miriam spoke against Moses, God struck her with leprosy. Check your life; the mouth can be a man's greatest enemy.

2. They Never Take Correction: This generation capitalizes on offenses. They are filled with pride, they care less about others, and they do not value the grace or ideas of anyone else. They would rather retaliate and take vengeance than show mercy.

3. They Lack Substance and Kingdom Impact: Absalom had 50 men running before him, yet when his life ended, no true spiritual legacy was raised from him. God is not just raising beautiful, highly embellished people to make zero impact in the kingdom. He doesn't just want your striking appearance. He wants your total attention.

Are you an Absalom or a David?

No one can fight someone whom grace has found. While Absalom positioned himself at the gate out of pride, grace located David out in the bush while he was in total submission. A heart like David chooses to submit, honor authority, and wait for God's right timing. People ultimately look past the outward manipulation and see your true character.

Let’s pray this together:

"Father, baptize me with the spirit of David to deliver me in character and in service. Cleanse my mouth from gossip and my heart from pride. Teach me, Oh God, to honor authority, pray for others, and patiently await Your right timing. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Step out this week refusing to take offense. Choose character over charm!
