TOUCH ME AGAIN LORD
TEXT: Mark 5:25-43; Leviticus 15:25; Matthew 9:20
" And a certain woman, which had a issue of blood twelve years,And had suffered many things of many physicians,and had spent all that she had,and was nothing bettered,but rather grew worse,
When she had heard of Jesus,came in the press behind,and touched his garment. For she said,If I may touch but his clothes,I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up;and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press,and said,Who touched my clothes me?
And He looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling,knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him,and told him all the truth.
And He said unto her, Daughter,thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace,and be whole of thy plague.
SHE NEEDS MIRACLES
i. Unwell for twelve years( people live even longer in sin) ( Mark 5:25)
ii. She was in great need( sin also produces needs ( Mark 5:25-26)
iii. The disease made her impure before the law( Leviticus 15:25-27)
iv. Her situation was desperate( Mark 5:25)
2. Her vain efforts to find healing. She went to many physicians ( how many spiritual" physicians" are there?( Mark 5:26;Job 13:4)
Her faith in the Lord.
i. She heard about Jesus ( Romans 10:17)
ii. She came to Him( John 6:37;I kings 10:1)
iii. She touched Him with faith ( Mark 5:27)
4. She was healed.
i. Power came out of Jesus ( Mark 5:30)
ii. Touching and being healed were simultaneous experiences ( 5:28-29).
Her testimony
i. She shared her experience trembling ( Mark 5:33)
ii. She gave her testimony without embarrassment ( Mark 8:38 Romans 10:10)
iii. Her soul was flooded by peace) ( Mark 5:34; Romans 5:1).
