Morning Devotion

TOPIC : MIGHT, MAJESTY, AND HOLINESS.

BIBLE READING:
PSALMS 93:1-5

KEY VERSE:
“Your testimonies are very sure; Holiness adorns your house, O LORD, forever.”Psalm 93:5

MEDITATION:
Ayi Kwei Armah's novel The Beautiful Ones Are Not Yet Born presents a gloomy vision of political immorality in Africa, dating back to thepre-colonial era. There is societal decay because the powerful minority steal from the common wealth, commit atrocities, display a high level of irresponsibility, and abandon their subject to wallow in poverty. Unlike the corrupt, human and political rulers of this world who wield power to the hurt of others, God's power is supremely different: The nature of God's reign is holiness forever.God's power which is revealed and made manifest in Christ is made of might, majesty and holiness. This power, so full of strength, is responsible and profitable to mankind; and it also exercises control over nature: “Chaos once challenged you. The raging waves liftedthemselves over and over, high above the ocean's depths, letting out their mighty roar! Yet at the sound of your voice they were all stilled by your might. What a majestic King, filled with power!”.What potentate can give command to natural occurrences, such as floods, earthquakes, Tsunamis, and many more? What human power can defeat death? Certainly, none, save Christ whose “royal decrees cannot be changed” and whose “testimonies are very sure!” And that's why He is reverenced as the Lord and King of all: the All-Potentate.Who is like unto thee, O Lord? Among the gods, who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? (Exodus 15:11-13).

PRAYER:
Almighty God, teach me to daily bow at your awesome majesty, power and holiness.

MY THOUGHTS THIS MONDAY.

Happy New Week people, it's really going to be a great week for all of us.
Yesterday while listening to my dear friend Reverend Lanre Oluseye of House on The Rock Port Harcourt preaching on "Powered By Grace", he said something I will like to share with you. It is actually on how to take advantage of grace.

I KNOW HOW TO MANAGE: Many will see this and the first thing for those spirico people will be "tufiakwa, I cannot manage", well shush and listen.
Grace he says teaches you how to manage issues, how to manage situations, how to manage tension, how to manage people with their complex and divers personalities. By grace you can manage people's emotional intelligence. Which means that no matter at which level they operate, high or low, the grace of God at work in you helps you to manage them without offense.

Do you know that there are people in your life you are not supposed to disconnect from but just learn how to manage? Staff at your office who are Knowledge Holders (people who know so much across your industry spectrum) and are hard to come by. They may come with their big ego (people with knowledge often have them), but it will be a mistake to fire them. Let grace help you learn to manage them so you do not lose their many years of industry knowledge, and so profit from what they bring.

MY THOUGHTS THIS WEDNESDAY.

Life is transient, and we are but pilgrims passing through. In the end, what matters is what you are leaving behind that you will be remembered for.
What will people miss about you when you are either no more in a particular place or no more at all? Will there be anyone who genuinely wishes you were still around for the joy and laughter you bring to them or how you always have a solution to every issue, or even your calmness when everyone is falling apart.
Can a group say, "we wish he was here, he would have been bringing everyone together"?

I mentioned a while ago that the beauty of life is not in it's duration but it's donation. Our society needs people making positive impact and affecting lives.
Let's spend less time thinking of self and work more for the betterment of all. There are those of us who will move heaven and earth if our loved ones are remotely in trouble but will not lift a finger even if a million people are about to die as long as none of them is related to us. That Sir/Ma isn't life.

Live a life that touches others and use whatever you have to make your neighborhood better than it is now.
I weep daily and feel so helplessly frustrated at my nation, but we can build her back up again.

You are made for More.

the greatest asset in life is faith, bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. faith is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things not seen. for by if elders of old abtained a good report even the entire world were framed by the world of God . so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

(1)faith is an oil well that must be explored for maximum impact in your generation and life.
(2).if you must succeed and see better things in life, you must stand on the shoulders of faith and of those who had gone ahead of you in faith.
(3). what you see in life is what you seize out of it ( faith will give you big and deeper revelations).
(4): faith will enable you to think like a man and woman of action and act like a man and woman of good thought
(5). a man of faith is a man of great soul: and great souls have will, other have wishes ( a man of faith gave great will a man of no faith always based and lives his life on wishes.
my brethrens, let build our life on Faith, says there is no mountain any where, everybmans mountain is his lack of faith and his ignorance of whom God had made him to be, and ignorance of God good will and promises for man
conclusion ( JEREMIAH 29 vs 11). for I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord; thoughts of peace and good will, and not of evil, says the Lord God of your father Abraham. to give you an expected end.
