One of the greatest miracles of salvation is that sinners become children of God. Being a child of God is the highest privilege anyone can receive. We are no longer slaves to sin but sons and daughters of God. Through Christ, every believer receives a new identity, a new family, and a glorious inheritance.

John 1:12,13 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

No one becomes God's child by natural birth, good works, or religious activities. We become children of God by receiving Jesus Christ through faith in the gospel. Just as children often resemble their earthly father, believers are called to reflect the character of their heavenly Father. Our lives should reveal His love, holiness, truth, mercy, and grace to the world around us.

Avoid statements such as:
Nothing good ever happens to me. I will never succeed.

Instead, declare:
The Lord is my helper. He is working all things together for my good.

Faith speaks what God has said.
Jesus didn't die for nothing. The cross changed everything; therefore, use your mouth properly.

Hosea 9:7 ...The prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is insane, because of the greatness of your iniquity and great enmity.

The responsibility of God's servant is faithfulness, not popularity. A spiritually blind generation often celebrates what God condemns and condemns what God celebrates.

The tragedy of Hosea 9:7 is not that the prophet was truly foolish or the spiritual man insane. Rather, Israel's rebellion had so distorted its spiritual perception that it rejected and ridiculed God's messengers. Yet God's Word remains true forever, whether it is applauded or opposed.

It is pride to think your salvation requires an annual subscription, as though Christ's finished work were no greater than the repeated sacrifices under the old covenant. It is even more misleading to imagine that your good works can maintain what Christ has already secured by His grace.

O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you... Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? (Galatians 3:1–3)

This is a new month. You can continue in grace, or continue in foolishness (self effort). The choice is yours.
