ABEOKUTA -NIGERIA IBARA STAKE END OF YEAR ACTIVITY REPORT.

Theme: "Pure Love of Christ"
The Abeokuta-Nigeria Ibara Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held its end of year activity on December 20, 2025, at the stake center. The event, themed "Pure Love of Christ," was a resounding success, drawing church leaders, members, friends, and guests from various units.
The program commenced with praises and adoration to the Most High, led by the stake choir and the YSA gathering choir, who rendered music in different Nigerian dialects. The stake president, President Bamidele Fagbemi, presided over the event, which featured a range of activities, including fast fingers giveaways, family challenges, and presentations from the units and wards.
Notable performances included a carols choreography by Lafanwa ward, cultural displays from Olomore branch (Yoruba) and Oke-Ata (Igbo), and a Wazobia fashion show by Opeoluwa ward. Sister Ijeola kick-started the event with a stirring Ewi (Yoruba poem), while testimonies were shared by Sister Adiye and Bishop Obaji of Opeoluwa ward.
Guest speakers, including Bro Charles Adebayo and President Victor Ukorebi, Stake President of Lekki Stake and National Coordinator of BYU (Brigham Young University) program in Nigeria, testified of Christ and His essence, emphasizing the importance of forgiveness, love, and remaining steadfast in faith.
In his closing remarks, President Fagbemi thanked attendees, committee members, and guests for their participation, reiterating the importance of embodying the "pure love of Christ" through forgiveness, love, and charity. He reminded members that Christmas is about Christ and urged them to avoid mundane activities that could drive the spirit away. The event concluded with a prayer for a fulfilling new year, 2026.
