26TH MARCH

PERSONAL ADVANCEMENT (63) LEARN TO RISE UP

TEXT: Micah 7:8, Proverbs 24:16

Micah 7:8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Anyone that want to experience personal advancement must learn to rise up and rise quickly when he fails or falls. Some fall or fail once and that becomes their end. That you fell or failed doesn't me that it is over for you. Children trying to walk falls and fails many time, but they succeed after many attempts. It is programmed in them not to quit until they succeed. They fall and then quickly rise. They don't beat themselves for falling or keep thinking about the fall, they just rise and try again.

I don't know how many times you have failed and fallen, rise up. Don't let where you fell become your resting place, rise up and give it your best shot in the Name of the Lord. Employ the grace of God which is always available to you. That you fell or failed doesn't make you a failure. You only become a failure when you refuse to rise and quit. That you are on the floor right now doesn't mean that you're in the grave. Don't bury that dream because you failed once or twice. If you believe God gave it to you, then don't give up.

A knock down is not a knock out. God has put so much in you, you can't afford to keep lying where you have fallen. Stop languishing, rise up, it will be different this time. You are going through a process, it is not over. Learn the lessons, rise up and move on. Your determination and experience will be a motivation for others coming behind you. You have to rise up today and begin to advance. It doesn't matter how many times you have failed or fallen, just rise again.

CONFESSION: I refuse to let my failure be my end. I will arise and begin to advance again.

PERSONAL ADVANCEMENT (62) YOU'RE A CHAMPION

TEXT: 1 John 5:4

1º John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

The mind set you should have as a believer who want to experience personal advancement is that of a champion. Jesus has already won all your battles for you, all you have to do is stand and declare the victory by faith. It is God who fights our battle, but we claim the victory. Until the victory is claimed, you can't walk in it. It is sad to see God's children who ought to be champions, walking in defeat with their heads bowed and their hands hanging down.

To walk as a champion, you have to believe the report of God concerning you. This report says that, you are more than conqueror, you're the head and not the tail, that sin shall not have dominion over you, etc. God's report about you is final, what He says, He has already done. To walk as a champion, you have to speak like a champion. Joshua and Caleb said: "let us go up at once, for they are bread for us". David said to Goliath: "this day will I give your carcass to the birds of the air". What are you saying?

To walk as a champion, you must be ready to take action. Champions walk the talk. Joshua and Caleb were ready to go up at once to take the land. David ran towards Goliath and brought him down with a sling. Many believe, many speak, only few take actions. If you say you are healed, then what are you still doing in bed? Rise up and walk Jesus says to those who are bed ridden. You are a champion, claim your victory by taking steps of faith. If David had talked all day without slinging the stone, Goliath would have still be standing.

CONFESSION: I am a champion, I am victorious over every challenge. I claim the victory by faith.

PERSONAL ADVANCEMENT (61) YOU CAN SOAR

TEXT: Isaiah 40:31

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

God's people are not suppose to be stagnant in anyway. To be stagnant in life is not of God, it is of the Devil. Your personal advancement is God's will for your life. The path of the just shines brighter and we move from glory to glory, from strength to strength, and from faith to faith. We advance at different levels, some crawl, some walk, some run and some soar. It is good to walk and run, but it is better to soar. The speed up there is more than the one below and the experience is different.

When you begin to soar like the eagle, you encounter less obstacles because you are in the air. The only thing that ought to be an obstacle in the air for the eagle is the wind, but it soar high above it. You can soar high above any obstacle or challenge as you renew your strength in the Presence of God. You are meant for the top and not below. The eagle does not consider the wind, but soars above it. The eagle is not bordered by the wind, but sees it as a motivation to go higher. That should be your attitude as a believer.

The wind is not an excuse for the eagle not to soar, no challenge should be an excuse for you not to either. Life at the top is so much better than that below. The view of the eagle and the pleasure it derives up there cannot be experience by other animals below. The ground is too crowded, but there is so much space for you at the top. You are not meant to live all your life below. Mount up with wings and soar in the name of the Lord. Yes you can soar!

CONFESSION: I belong to the top, so I mount up with wings in the Name of the Lord and begin to soar.

Mark: 5. 36. As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

If you have prayed, fasted, confessed the word, sown seed, served God fervently, kept His Word, walked in Love and know How much He loves you.

One last thing to do is ONLY BELIEVE. Cease from your struggle. Don't allow fear and doubt destroy you

Only believe. Believe and Believe.

May we all receive Grace to only Believe.

GOOD DAY

*Living for Heaven’s Sake*
BY RICK WARREN

*“If they had wanted to, they could have gone back to the good things of this world. But they didn’t want to. They were living for heaven. And now God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has made a heavenly city for them” (Hebrews 11:15-16 TLB).*

*Heaven changes everything about how you live today.* If you’re headed to Heaven (and after yesterday’s devotional, I hope you are), then that reality should impact how you live here on earth.

Your value system changes. *Instead of living for the here and now, you’ll live for eternity. You can also live knowing your future is secure*. No matter what happens on earth, you’ll spend an eternity with God in the most amazing place you’ve ever been.

*So how do you live if you know your eternal destination is Heaven?*

*1. Don’t be distracted by temptation.* _“Dear brothers, you are only visitors here. Since your real home is in heaven, I beg you to keep away from the evil pleasures of this world; they are not for you, for they fight against your very souls” (1 Peter 2:11 TLB)._ *You can be distracted by lots of things — both good and bad. Stay focused on what’s of eternal significance.* Delay gratification, even though everything in society tries to get you to do just the opposite. Stay focused on what’s ahead.

*2. Don’t be discouraged by trouble.* _The Bible says, “So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever” (2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT, second edition)._ When you live in light of eternity, trouble just doesn’t bother you as much anymore. *You know troubles won’t last forever, so you simply don’t give up.*

*3. Focus your energy on what will last.* _“Let heaven fill your thoughts; don’t spend your time worrying about things down here” (Colossians 3:2 TLB)._ *Fulfill the purposes of God in your life. Live a life of worship. Build relationships with God’s people. Invest your time in becoming more like Jesus through discipleship. Serve others with abandon. Tell people about Jesus. Those activities last forever.*

You were made for Heaven. If you’ve made Jesus the boss of your life, you’ll spend eternity there. *Let that truth sink in for a moment.*

Then, let it change your life.

Talk It Over

- *What temptations distract you from maintaining an eternal point-of-view?*
- *Sometimes even a good thing can distract us from God’s purpose. What are some examples of those good things that can distract?*
- *What short-term troubles are causing you stress right now? How can focusing on eternity change your perspective on them?*
