TEXT: Genesis 21:1–6; Psalm 40:1–3; Psalm 126:1–6
TOPIC: BEAUTIFUL TESTIMONIES
1.) Testimonies are not just stories of answered prayers; they are evidence of God’s promises and His Word coming to pass.
2.) BEAUTIFUL means something that is delightful to experience and behold; something that gladdens your heart.
3.) A TESTIMONY is a spoken or unwritten account of something that has been heard or experienced.
4.) A BEAUTIFUL TESTIMONY is a remarkable evidence of the power of God and a demonstration of how God can transform a season of waiting into something beautiful.
POINTS FROM GENESIS 21:1
1. Sarah’s beautiful testimony did not begin with the arrival of Isaac; it began with a promise from God.
2. God does not forget what He has spoken.
When God says a thing, He does it. His timing may not always be our timing, but His Word will surely come to pass.
- Your testimony is supposed to be a source of encouragement to others.
- If God is doing it for my neighbour, then He is definitely in my neighbourhood and in my life.
- Do not interpret your season of waiting as the absence of God. God is still present even in the waiting.
WHAT TO DO IN A WAITING SEASON
1. KEEP TRUSTING GOD - Even when you cannot see the outcome, continue to trust in the One who made the promise.
2. KEEP PRAYING - Do not stop communicating with God because the answer has not yet come.
(1 Thessalonians 5:17, Philippians 4:6)
3. KEEP BELIEVING GOD - Faith means holding on to what God has said, even when you cannot yet see it.(Hebrews 11:1)
4. KEEP DOING GOOD - Do not allow your waiting season to make you stop doing what is right.
(Galatians 6:9–10
Proverbs 3:27)
5. KEEP PRAISING GOD - Your waiting season should not silence your praises
CONCLUSION
The greatest beautiful testimony anyone can have is salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ and a beautiful testimony is not only about receiving an answered prayer or experiencing.
