DO NOT DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS

TEXT: “The people should not think that small beginnings are unimportant. They will be happy when they see Zerubbabel with tools, building the Temple.” — Zechariah 4:10 (MSG)

Small beginnings are often the foundation of great destinies. Many people celebrate the finished product but fail to appreciate the process, the struggles, the little steps, and the humble beginnings that produced the greatness they see. God does not despise what starts small because He sees the greatness hidden within the seed.

When God called Zerubbabel to rebuild the Temple, the task looked overwhelming. The former Temple carried the glory of the past, and the new one seemed insignificant compared to what had been before. But God encouraged the people not to judge the work by its beginning. What looked small in their eyes was a divine project in God’s hands.

Many times, we become discouraged because our beginning does not look like our expectation. We compare our journey with others, forgetting that every great testimony once had a beginning. A tree begins as a seed, a river begins as a stream, and a great achievement begins with a simple step of faith. Never allow the size of your beginning to make you doubt the greatness of your future.

The enemy often uses small beginnings as a reason to discourage people. He tells you, “It is too small,” “It will never amount to anything,” or “Others are already ahead of you.” But God is not limited by the size of what is in your hands; He is interested in your obedience, consistency, and commitment. What you consider small today may become the testimony that will inspire many tomorrow.

A person who understands small beginnings will value process, embrace discipline, and remain faithful in little things. Greatness is not built overnight; it is built through daily commitment. The seed does not become a tree in one day, but every day it is growing.

It strips away the illusion of control. It questions the value of endless striving. It exposes how fragile and temporary everything “under the sun” really is. What seems like gain today can fade tomorrow, and what we build so strongly can still leave us asking… to what end?

This is not a message of despair, it is a call to awakening. To live with sobriety. To weigh our choices differently. To stop investing everything in what cannot last, and begin to align with what carries eternal weight.Because until a man sees this clearly, he may be busy but not truly wise.

SEED CONFERENCE DAY 2
Nothing escapes the attention of God. Man may judge by what is visible, but God sees beyond appearances into the heart. He sees the battles fought in secret, the sacrifices made without recognition, and also the things that are done away from the eyes of men.

Life is not only about what people know about us; it is about who we are before God. The hidden places of our lives are important because they shape what eventually becomes visible. A strong public life is built from a genuine private life.

Sometimes people wonder why certain things are not changing or why certain results are not appearing. But God often works first in the unseen places before bringing His purpose into manifestation. The roots of a tree grow in hidden places before the fruit becomes visible.

As we continue in this journey, may we become more conscious of the things God is doing within us. May we not only desire what is seen by men, but also value the unseen work of God that prepares us for greater expressions of His purpose.

As we journey through this season of Manifestation, let us remember that God is not only interested in revealing His glory through us; He is also interested in revealing His work within us. A life that honours God in secret will have nothing to fear when it is brought into the light.

Every promise from God introduces you to the realm of possibilities. When Mary heard she would give birth to the Saviour, her immediate response was, “How shall this be?” It was not a question of doubt but of process. Every time God gives you a word that is bigger than your capacity, people will ask, How will it happen? How will you build it? How will you get married? How will you recover? The answer is not in your ability but in God’s possibility.

The Angel answered Mary’s question with one statement that settled every argument: “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee.” In other words, this miracle will not happen by human strength, intelligence, connections or experience, but by the Spirit of God. When people ask you, “How shall this be?” don’t struggle to explain yourself. Simply tell them, “By the Spirit of God!” The Holy Spirit is the bridge between God’s promise and its manifestation.

Never allow the size of your challenge to reduce the size of your God. In the realm of possibilities, impossibility does not exist because God is involved. If God has spoken it, the Holy Spirit will perform it. Stop asking how, start believing who. The One who made the promise is more than able to bring it to pass.
