4. BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF THE LATE PROPHET ANIEFIOK ASUQUO AKA
Early Life and Parentage: The late Prophet Aniefiok Asuquo Akan was born on 29th May, 1970, to the late Adviser Asuquo Akan of Ikot Ekpenyong and the late Deaconess Serah Asuquo of Ikot Oko, both in Essien Udim L.G.A., Akwa Ibom State.
Christian Life: From his youth, he embraced Christianity and was a dedicated member of the African Apostolic Unity Mission, where he was baptized and served faithfully, progressing from the office of an Elder to that of a Prophet until his demise.
Occupation: Following his FSLC, he trained as a Furniture Carpenter. He subsequently worked with Amajedeti Constructions in Port Harcourt and Newco Construction Company in Lagos. He later resigned to manage his personal business ventures in palm oil, farming, and general trading until his passing.
Marital Life: He was married to Mrs. Felicia Aniefiok Asuquo of Ikot Essien Okon. Their union was blessed with six children — two sons and four daughters — and grandchildren. Their home was built on a foundation of faith, mutual love, and Christian values.
Social Life: Fondly referred to as “Ime Asuquo” by his peers, he was known for his kind, humble, jovial, and peace-loving nature. He was generous, community-minded, and related freely with all, irrespective of age, status, or religion. He served as a Patron in his family, an Adviser in the village, and Chairman of the Village Council until his death.
Death: He was sound and healthy with no prior sign of illness. He suddenly fell ill on 13th December, 2025, and passed away on 14th December, 2025, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and many others.
5. NUGGETS FOR REFLECTION
Since we are all destined to die, we must ask the Holy Spirit daily to guide our path so we do not stray or lose our relationship with God.
