SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS & EXHORTATION
Beloved brethren, as we stand at the midpoint of the year, the question before us is: _What have you achieved in the last 6 months?_
Just as medical personnel advise us to go for routine health checkups to detect physical issues early, there is one vital area we often neglect — our spiritual health.
A Godly spiritual assessment helps us know whether we are truly walking with Him, or merely going through the motions. As you examine your life, pay close attention to the condition of your heart, for out of the heart flow all issues of life. Your heart houses both noble and corrupt thoughts, and what you become begins there.
The areas of your heart you must guard diligently include: pride, humility, bitterness, worldliness, sincere love, and jealousy. Ask yourself honestly: which of these is ruling your heart today? Psalm 139:23-24 reminds us to pray, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my thoughts, and see if there be any wicked way in me.”
KEY POINTS FROM THE MESSAGE:
1. Evaluate Your Fruitfulness:
God expects growth and fruitfulness from His children. We are called to bear the fruit of the Spirit as listed in Galatians 5:22-23. In Mark 11:12-14, Jesus approached a fig tree expecting fruit and found none, so He cursed it. Brethren, do not let the hope and expectation God has for your life be misplaced. Let your life bear fruit that glorifies Him.
2. Assess Your Stewardship in Christ:
Stewardship is owning responsibility for things that ultimately belong to God. It is recognizing what He has entrusted to you — your time, talents, gifts, and resources — and managing them faithfully and wisely for His glory.
3. Make Necessary Adjustment:
Haggai 1:5 says, “Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.” This is a call to self-examination. Stand firm in Christ, reconcile with Him and with others, make peace, and return to the Word of God. Adjust anything that is out of alignment with His will.
4. Press Forward Into the Next Month
Like Paul in Philippians 3:13-14, we must forget what lies behind and press toward the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus. The remaining months of 2026 are still full of purpose. Don’t be stuck in past failures or successes — move forward.
CONCLUSION:
As believers, let us commit to regular spiritual checkups. They keep us aligned, fruitful, and ready for what God has ahead. God is faithful, and He is ready to give us grace to finish this year strong and victoriously.
May the Lord bless you as you reflect and reposition.
