GOD IS STILL WORKING ON YOU

There are moments when you look at your life and quietly ask, “Am I really making progress?”

You see people your age achieving their dreams, getting opportunities and receiving answers to prayers, while you feel like you are still in the same place.

But here is something you need to remember: your journey is not supposed to look like everyone else’s.

Comparison can make you overlook the growth that is already happening in you. Maybe you have not reached where you want to be yet, but that does not mean God is not working.

Sometimes, progress looks like becoming more patient.
Sometimes, it looks like learning to forgive.
Sometimes, it means becoming more disciplined, trusting God more, or finding the strength to get back up after falling.

You may fail. You may make mistakes. You may even go through seasons when nothing seems to be working. But a difficult season does not mean your story is over.

God can use those seasons to teach you, strengthen you and prepare you for what lies ahead.

And when you are waiting, remember this: waiting does not mean wasting.

While you are waiting for the next door to open, God may be preparing you for what is behind it.

You do not have to have everything figured out right now. You do not have to become everything you want to be overnight. Keep walking with God, one step at a time.

You are still growing. You are still learning. You are still becoming.

So, be patient with yourself. Keep growing. Keep learning. Keep trusting God.

What feels like a slow season may actually be a season of preparation.

This week, instead of asking, “Why am I not there yet?” ask yourself:

“What is God teaching me in this season?”

Then take the next step.

God is still working on you.

YOU ARE MORE THAN YOUR RESULTS.

Sometimes, we unknowingly allow our results to tell us who we are.

A good grade makes us feel intelligent. A poor result makes us feel like failures. An achievement makes us feel valuable, while a disappointment can make us question our worth.

But what happens when we begin measuring our identity by our accomplishments?

We may start believing that we are only worthy when we succeed.

We may compare ourselves with people who seem to be doing better.

We may become afraid of failure because we feel that failing means we are failures.

But as young Christians, our identity was never meant to be built on grades, awards, positions, achievements, or even our mistakes.

1 John 3:1 says:

> “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!”

Before you became a student, you were created by God. Before you received your results, you were loved. Before you achieved anything, Christ gave you an identity.

Your academic performance matters. Your hard work matters. Your goals matter. But they do not determine your worth.

A poor result may mean you need to study differently. It may show you where you need to improve. But it does not mean you are unintelligent, useless, or a failure.

Likewise, excellent results are something to be grateful for, but they don't make you more valuable in God's eyes.

Your identity is found in Christ, not in your transcript.

So, work hard. Learn. Grow. Celebrate your victories. Learn from your failures.

But remember:

You are more than your results.

Your grades can describe your performance, but they cannot define your identity.

You are a child of God. And that is an identity no result can take away. ❤️

WHAT’S ONE THING YOUNG CHRISTIANS STRUGGLE WITH? 👇🏽

Sometimes, we look at other Christians and feel like they have everything figured out.

They pray consistently.
They seem confident in their faith.
They know their purpose.
They make the “right” decisions.
They look spiritually strong.

But behind the scenes, many young Christians are also trying to figure things out.

Maybe it’s staying consistent in prayer.

Maybe it’s dealing with peer pressure.

Maybe academic pressure has been overwhelming.

Maybe you’re struggling with comparison, relationships, purpose, or simply wondering what the future holds.

And honestly, struggling with something doesn't automatically mean you don't love God.

Growth is a journey, and sometimes we need a safe space to admit that we're still learning.

So, let's have a real conversation—without judgement. ❤️

What's ONE thing you think young Christians struggle with the most?

Share yours in the comments. 👇🏽

Someone might read your response and realise, “I'm not the only one.”

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE ENCOUNTER?

Sometimes, we experience moments with God that we never want to forget.

It may happen during a powerful church service, a worship session, a retreat, a prayer meeting, or even in our personal quiet time. We may cry, feel God's presence deeply, receive an answer to prayer, or simply experience a peace we cannot explain.

But what happens after the encounter?

An encounter with God is not meant to end when the music stops or when we leave the church. A genuine encounter should produce a change in the way we live every day.

When we truly encounter God, our hearts should become more willing to obey Him, love others, turn away from sin, and live according to His Word.

Romans 12:2 reminds us:

> "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind."

Our relationship with God should bring transformation. God does not want us to only experience His presence; He wants our lives to reflect His presence.

This is why we must continue in prayer and God's Word. An encounter can inspire us, but spiritual growth requires consistency. We cannot depend on one powerful service from months ago and expect to remain spiritually strong.

We must also be careful not to depend only on emotions. There will be days when we feel God's presence strongly and days when we don't feel anything. Our faith cannot be based solely on how we feel. We must learn to trust God even when the emotions are absent.

As young Christians, we can maintain our spiritual growth by making time for prayer, studying the Bible, obeying God's instructions, surrounding ourselves with godly friends, serving in church, and remaining accountable to mature believers.

The encounter is the beginning, not the destination.

THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE 📝

Choose one area of your life that needs to change. Spend time praying about it, find a Scripture that speaks to it, and intentionally practise what God is teaching you throughout the week.

Don't just remember what God did in your life. Live differently because of it. 🕊️

A Special Birthday Presentation

Today, the Youth Church had the privilege of presenting a portrait to our esteemed Regional Overseer of MFM M South-South Region 10 in celebration of his birthday. 🎂

We celebrate and appreciate his life, leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the work of God and the care of the flock entrusted to him.

We pray that the Lord will continue to bless, strengthen, empower, and preserve him as he leads and nurtures God’s people. May God’s grace, wisdom, and anointing continually abound in his life and ministry.

Happy Birthday, Sir! 🎉

May you continue to flourish in God’s vineyard.

Amen! 🙏

LOOKING BACK: AUGUST DELIVERANCE PROGRAMME

Last week, we gathered as a church family with one heart and one desire—to seek God.

Through worship, the Word, prayers, and moments of fellowship, we were reminded of the importance of making room for God and trusting Him completely.

We are grateful for the moments we shared and, most importantly, for the opportunity to seek God together.

Here are a few moments from our August Deliverance Programme.

Swipe through and relive the moments with us. ❤️‍🔥

There are battles you cannot fight with human strength.

There are strongholds that require more than motivation.

There are moments when you have to fall on your knees and cry out to the God who delivers.

This weekend, we gather.

WHAT ARE YOU TRUSTING GOD TO DO?

Let's talk for a moment. 👇🏽

If you could write down one thing you're trusting God to do in your life right now, what would it be?

Freedom from a recurring struggle?

Direction concerning your future?

A breakthrough?

Restoration?

Healing?

A change in your family?

Spiritual growth?

You don't have to explain everything.

Just drop one word or phrase in the comments. 👇🏽

And if you'd rather keep it private, that's okay too.

Take it to God in prayer. 🙏🏽

This weekend, we will be seeking God together at MFM Youth Church Abak.

Come believing.
Come praying.
Come expecting. 🔥
