The Apostolic Church Nigeria Uyo District Makes History with Humanitarian Visit to Correctional Center and Orphanage Homes

In a remarkable display of compassion and kindness, The Apostolic Church Nigeria Uyo District, led by District Pastor Aniedi Umoh, paid a visit to correctional center and orphanage homes in Uyo, Ikot Ekpene, and Itu Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State. The visit, which was part of the church's 21-day fasting and prayer program, aimed to spread joy, hope, and love to the less privileged.

During the visit, Pastor Umoh assured the inmates and orphans that their position in society is not taken for granted and that God will safely guide them in their life journey. He stated that the church had a 21-day fasting and prayer program, and God had placed in their hearts to conclude it with this divine visit.

The team visited the Medium Security Custodial Center in Uyo, where the officer in charge expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the church for this great visit. He noted that The Apostolic Church Nigeria Uyo District was the first Apostolic Church to visit the correctional center, and he prayed for God's abundant blessings on the church.

The team also visited three orphanage homes, including Divine Children's Home in Atan Offot, Uyo, Government Children's Home on Chubb Road, Ikot Ekpene, and Foundation for the Marooned in Itu LGA. The orphanage homes received and thanked the church for their gift to the children, praying for endless blessings and prosperity for the church and the entire Christian community.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of food items, clothing, and other valuable gifts to the inmates and orphans. The church members prayed for the recipients, wishing them God's blessings and protection.

The visit was a resounding success and was a testament to the church's commitment to serving humanity and spreading the love of God to all.

The Secretary to Akwa Ibom State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah is billed to commission the ultra-modern district secretariat of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Uyo District, today, during the last Sunday Worship Service in the year 2025, and will be officiated by the Uyo Area Superintendent, Apostle Prof. Ime George.

The five-star secretariat complex was initiated in 2022, by the then District Pastor in charge of Uyo District, Pastor Joseph Ita Ekong, and completed under the present administration of Pastor Aniedi Umoh, which is a remarkable project in just 8 months, since he started his missionary journey in Uyo District. The architectural masterpiece of the project was designed by Elder (Arc.) Edidiong Inam, and has about 12 rooms, ensuite with modern facilities, and convenience.

The first message from the National, one of the four points given to us by God during our induction as National Principal Officers is what I am mandated to share with every congregation wherever I worship for the first time.

You have also heard the prophecy this morning, where the Lord emphasized these same matters, even with clear conditions which I underlined.

I want it to be known that I do not intend to do my own will on the seat of The Apostolic Church Presidency, but to do the perfect will of God "without favour, fear, or honouring anybody."

That is why I am earnestly appealing to all Territorial, Field, and Area leaders to join us at this crucial time to do the will of God.

First Point: Unity of The Apostolic Church Nigeria.

On the day of our induction, 3rd August 2025, God clearly instructed that this administration must take the unity of The Apostolic Church Nigeria as sacrosanct.

He commanded us to take the unity of the Church to the "highest level."

This is what we are determined to establish.

We no longer want to identify as LAWMNA Territory, Igboland Territory, Maritime Territory, Cross River State Territory, Akwa Ibom State Territory, or Andoni Territory.

What we need is The Apostolic Church Nigeria; one Church.

If we truly desire unity, then we must be ready to pay the cost of unity.
We must all sacrifice for this unity.

That is why I am appealing particularly to the leaders, because the congregation has no problem. The challenge is from me to all these fathers.

Fathers, God is the owner of the Church. The Lord has instructed us to allow His sovereignty to reign.

We cannot continue to do things the same way they were done before.
Our disunity in The Apostolic Church Nigeria has made us lag behind.

This is not a comparison, but a reality. Other denominations that started after us have gone ahead because they are united.

The struggle of each territory insisting on maintaining its own region has kept us at the back.
