The Apostolic Church Nigeria Uyo District Makes History with Humanitarian Visit to Correctional Center and Orphanage Homes
In a remarkable display of compassion and kindness, The Apostolic Church Nigeria Uyo District, led by District Pastor Aniedi Umoh, paid a visit to correctional center and orphanage homes in Uyo, Ikot Ekpene, and Itu Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State. The visit, which was part of the church's 21-day fasting and prayer program, aimed to spread joy, hope, and love to the less privileged.
During the visit, Pastor Umoh assured the inmates and orphans that their position in society is not taken for granted and that God will safely guide them in their life journey. He stated that the church had a 21-day fasting and prayer program, and God had placed in their hearts to conclude it with this divine visit.
The team visited the Medium Security Custodial Center in Uyo, where the officer in charge expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the church for this great visit. He noted that The Apostolic Church Nigeria Uyo District was the first Apostolic Church to visit the correctional center, and he prayed for God's abundant blessings on the church.
The team also visited three orphanage homes, including Divine Children's Home in Atan Offot, Uyo, Government Children's Home on Chubb Road, Ikot Ekpene, and Foundation for the Marooned in Itu LGA. The orphanage homes received and thanked the church for their gift to the children, praying for endless blessings and prosperity for the church and the entire Christian community.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of food items, clothing, and other valuable gifts to the inmates and orphans. The church members prayed for the recipients, wishing them God's blessings and protection.
The visit was a resounding success and was a testament to the church's commitment to serving humanity and spreading the love of God to all.
