TOPIC: THE POWER OF IMAGINATION
“And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” — Genesis 11:6 (KJV)
When was the last time God came down to see what you are building? When did He last take notice of the work of your hands and the vision in your heart? Do not settle for mediocrity, and do not operate haphazardly. God observed the people of Babel and made a profound declaration about the power of imagination: because of their unity, nothing would be restrained from them that they had imagined to do.
The word imagine refers to the mental image you form in your mind. It is the act of creating a vision of something not yet present. Imagination is God-given and serves as a creative power. When you envision something in your mind, it sets the stage for its manifestation. The materials and resources necessary for that vision are released in the spiritual realm, awaiting their expression in the natural.
There are things God desires to manifest through you, but the question is: has your imagination aligned with His promises? The power of imagination must be deployed purposefully.
Everything we have ever received first existed in the realm of imagination before it became reality. What you allow yourself to envision with faith and expectation will determine what comes to pass. Be intentional about what you imagine.
Consider God’s call to Abram. When God promised to bless him and make him a blessing, He expected Abram to form a mental picture of that promise. Child of God, allow the promises of God to shape your imagination. See yourself living in the reality of His Word, and nothing can hinder its fulfillment. What you hold in your mind with faith will inevitably find expression in your life.

Genesis 11:1-9
1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.
4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
