ASC Stewardship Business Summit Calls Leaders to Deeper Faithfulness and Greater Participation
The Aba South Conference (ASC) Stewardship Department has challenged its leaders to embrace deeper faithfulness, consistency and active participation in advancing the stewardship ministry. The charge came during the ASC Stewardship Summit held at the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference (ENUC) Headquarters from Thursday, August 13, to Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The three day Stewardship Business summit themed "Growth!" brought together 47 participants for a focused period of learning, reflection and spiritual renewal. The programme was organised and executed by the ASC Stewardship Director, Pastor Godspower Iheadindueme Peter, alongside his Associates, Elder Andrew Ogechi Onumegbu (Esq.) and Elder Levi Ohaeri.
A major emphasis of the summit was the call for stewardship leaders to continually grow in faithfulness, consistency and participation. Participants were further encouraged to empower church members to grow in their personal commitment to stewardship and to ensure that the stewardship ministry is continually bathed a testimony of God's Faithfulness.
The summit also underscored the understanding that effective stewardship extends beyond financial returns. It involves nurturing faithful disciples who recognise their responsibility to God and actively participate in His work through their time, talents, resources and commitment.
The climax of the summit was a lecture delivered by Hon. Justice Livingston Teddy C. Eruba, titled, “How to Build a Personal Stewardship Plan to Increase Participation in Tithe and Offering Returns.” The presentation provided participants with practical insights into developing intentional personal stewardship plans and encouraging greater participation in tithe and offering returns.
The ASC Stewardship Summit concluded with a renewed sense of responsibility among participants, challenging leaders to move beyond simply teaching stewardship to modelling it, praying for it and empowering others to embrace it.
The summit's central message was clear: when stewardship leaders grow, they can help members grow; and when members grow in commitment, the entire church grows in mission and impact.
