*TOPIC: THE POWER OF RESURRECTION*
*TUESDAY 18TH JULY, 2023*
*Meditation:*
*“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:*
*And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.” Believest thou this? (John 11:25-26 KJV)*
*Todays Text: John 11:23-43:*
The power of resurrection centers on Jesus Christ, without Him, there is no resurrection, no healing, and no eternal life. The resurrection of Jesus is not just about raising the dead to life, it encompasses every manner of resurrection on earth. This is the only power that annulled the first sentence passed by God on Adam and Eve when He said, The day you eat this fruit, you will surely die. The Son of the Living God had to counter the order of the Father, by sacrificing Himself to die the death, so that through Him, we might have eternal life.
You cannot talk about the power of resurrection without talking about the power of death.
*Genesis 2:17 (KJV),* But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Adam and Eve died spiritually, immediately they disobeyed God even though the physical death came 930 years later. They died because their relationship with God was broken and they were separated from God. The only solution was Jesus Christ. If Christ had not died, we would have remained in our sickness, sin, and unbelief, there would have been no hope for mankind. So, it was necessary that Jesus Christ should become the resurrection.
The power of resurrection is the major heavenly event, vision and mission of Jesus Christ on earth. If Jesus restored everything but could not restore eternal life through the power of resurrection, He would have restored nothing. Whether you like it or not, every one of us will be resurrected. When you believe in Jesus Christ, you will resurrect to eternal life. Believe in the Lord Jesus today, believe in the power of resurrection. Let the power of resurrection translate you from darkness into light everlasting.
