EVINA MODEL PARISH AT 25 - SUNDAY 18TH MAY, 2025
FIRST LESSON: Eccl. 9:10-12
SECOND LESSON: John 9:1-5
SERMON: The Night Cometh
SPEAKER: Very Rev. Madukwe Uguru
•There is a time and season for everything on earth.
• There are things outlined for everyone created in this life to follow and to do, and as one walks/work in alignment with those things, his or her success or blessings comes. However, if one misses his or her timing, to recover it may be impossible.
• And Jesus said "I must do the work of Him that has sent me, while it is still day: for the night comes when no one can work" (John 9:4)
• The night can come in a man's life at any given time, and that is why it is very important that one utilizes any opportunity that comes his or her way, when it is still day.
WHAT IT MEANS TO SAY THE NIGHT HAS COME
1. Literally, the night means
2. The NIGHT is an opportunity or advantage, one missed. So when you have an opportunity, do your very best, to maximize it. Remember there id an eternity coming, and our reward depends on what we don on this terrestrial base.
3. NIGHT means the days when you're weak, sick or even old.
4. NIGHT means death.
: Thank you heavenly father for your word today, our prayer is that you help us so that we would not miss our timing in life, in Jesus name, Amen!
