PRIDE, EGO AND ARROGANCE:
You are so powerful a conqueror. You brought down the great Lucifer from heaven and landed him into the pit. You changed his beautiful name from Lucifer ( son of the morning) to Satan the devil. You removed him from a covering Cherub to the scatterer of God's house.
O pride, ego and arrogance, you dealt with the great Nebuchadnezzar, you removed him from his high throne, turned him to an animal. You sent him to a school where his teachers were wild and domestic animals.
You came into the church and arrested many church ministers. You blinded them from seeing from the scriptures how humble their Master Jesus is. They claim to worship the Lamb of God, yet live like peacocks and lions. You taught them that you are the highest level of living while the truth is that "HUMILITY IS THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF LIVING.

TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED.PS.105:15.
We are living in a time people take pleasure in insulting ministers of God. Even Christians are part of this madness though they know of the judgement that follows such evil behavior. In Kgs 2: 23-25, we read of the wayward children who came out of the city of idolatry and began to insult a man of God. They Dishonored a servant of God and God equally Dishonored them.
This ridiculing of the man of God was was one of the crying sins of the then Israel as it is today with us. 2Chro. 36:16. These young people have obviously contracted these evil behavior from their parents, the bitter hatred of pure Christianity and true servants of God. Though there are false men and women who are claiming to be servants of God, this should not be a reason for the habit of insulting God's ministers. For though we have counterfeits in our currencies, yet people are still using our money. The ministers may not be perfect but the God who called them and justified them knows better than us. Why must we be ever busy judging another man's servants. Why do sentence people before the time.
This incident of Elisha and the misbehaving youths teaches in a very emphatic manner the responsibility of youths and the duties of parents to raise their children in the fear of God.

CHRIST'S ASCENSION AND IMMEDIATE RETURN.
Key Scriptures: Acts. 1:9-11, Lk. 24:51.
Memory Verse: Acts 1"11..."This same Jesus who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven"
The scriptures teach clearly that Jesus Christ ascended from the earth into heaven. His ascension is directly mentioned more than thirty times in the New testament.
The ascension signifies two things. (1) The heavenly nature of Jesus Christ and the divine nature of His ministry on earth. (2) The assurance of His second coming. The teaching on the second coming of Christ appears in one verse in every twenty-five verses in the New Testament. It is the culmination of Christ's work of redemption.
Just like His ascension was sudden, His return will also be sudden, without any warning. Matt. 25:1-2, Mk. 13:33-36. It will be as real and physical as the ascension was real, physical and observable. Acts 1:11. It will be glorious and triumphant just as He triumphed over all things in His ascension. Rev. 5:5. It is after His return He will usher in His eternal reign as King of kings and Lord of lords. His final triumph strengthens the believers for their own triumph. This is what made the aged John to comfort and counsel the faithful in 1Jn. 3:1-3.

THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLYSPIRIT.
Key scriptures. Jn. 14: 16-18, 16: 12-15.
Memory verse: Acts1: 8. " But you shall receive power when the HolySpirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth".
When one is born again, the HolySpirit comes and dwells in him as a confirmation that he is a child of God.1Cor. 6:19. For the believer to be useful to God, the same HolySpirit now comes on him for empowerment. This is popularly known as the baptism of the HolySpirit. The HolySpirit also directs gospel and works and evangelistic outreaches.Acts 8:29-40, 16: 6-7. As we obey His leadings on gospel work, He confirms the word and the work. Heb. 2:3-4. He is the Spirit of Truth, in this capacity, He guides into all truth,
teaches, illuminates and inspires. Jn. 14:26, 15:26. In times of distresses and persecutions, He fills believers with joy, peace and boldness.He comforts, counsels and also commands. Tom. 15: 13, Acts 13: 49-52, 8: 29. He also helps in prayers intercedes for the saints.

JESUS, THE LORD OF THE CHURCH.Part 1.
Key scripture. Acts 1:1:11.
The book of Acts of the apostles provides the logical link between the Gospels and Epistles. It is a powerful resource material for the church. It goes beyond the record of life, ministry, death, resurrection and ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ which are the focus of the gospels. It provides the knowledge and teachings of how the church was born, how she should be brought together, organized and ruled to accomplish the task of evangelizing the world. The focus of the book is the chief place of the HolySpirit in the church. The overall Lordship of Jesus Christ is unmistakable in the doctrine, sermons and thrust of the book.
The Acts sets forth the divinely chosen method of the work of the ministry which are evangelism, teaching, preaching, healing and caring. The appointment of deacons and their empowering. Moreover, the Acts is an integral and indispensable supplement to the life and works of Christ through the HolySpirit in the world. It provides a genuine and dependable document of the birth, development and maturing of Gentile Christianity. Half of it traces the wonderful and incredible spread of Christianity among Gentiles from Antioch to Rome. It shows that Gentile evangelism is an issue of supreme importance to God.
