Sri Maha Sivalayam Aulong, Taiping temple is an 80 years old temple in the Aulong Village. The temple has Lord Shiva in the Sri Lingeswarar form in Mulastanam, Vishalachi as Amman, Thatchanamoorthy, Pillayar, Murugan and other deities surrounding it. This newly built temple has also Sri Kala Bhairavar on the left side of the temple. The temple conducts all pooja intended and related to Lord Shiva. Temple is famous for the Maha Sivaraathiri, Pradhosam, Margalzhi Poojai, Navaraathiri Pooja, Tharpanam for Ancestors, Ammavasai Pooja, Durga Pooja and other important festival celebration. The temple has it`s own "Ratham" for yearly procession during Maha Sivaraathiri. The temple committee is a very active running errands towards temple cleaning, maintenance, pooja and sustaining a great workmanship
