WEEK 4: RECYCLE 👇🌱

Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects. This helps to reduce waste production, decrease landfills and save valuable energy resources. There are many items in your homes today that are recyclable such as paper, plastic, aluminium cans, glass and e-waste. Making compost recycles your food waste into nutritions for your plants as natural fertilizers too! 👍😃

Not sure how to start recycling? Gather your items together, sort them out into categories and bring them to the nearest recycling centre! Also, you get to collect some money from it!! Let’s start recycling today!!🌍♻

WEEK 2: REDUCE🌿👇

This week, we call everyone to join us to stop damaging our Mother Earth.🌍 Many of the resources we have today are overused or wasted due to our habits.🥺

Reducing waste in our homes helps us to live sustainably while reducing pollution that is caused by factories that produce the products and vehicles that transport our waste to landfills. 🙀

We as stewards of the Earth have the responsibility to take care of all flora and fauna around us. 🐻🐼🐯🌺🌳☘️

Looking at our world today, pollution are still ongoing, seawaters rising faster than usual and the deforestation still occurs. These activities harm the environment and indirectly affects our health too! We need to make a change and act immediately to stop this from progressing and killing our home!🥺

Week 1 focuses on RESTORATION of our Mother Earth by planting more trees in our surroundings to protect and preserve our Mother Earth. We invite everyone to join us!😁

Blessed World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation!!

This marks the beginning of the Season of Creation throughout the whole September till 4th October, St. Francis of Assisi Feast Day.🐶🐱🌿🌳🌍

We invite all to join us in carrying activities each week in dedication to a "R" ♻️ as follows:
Week 1: Restore (4-10 September 2021) - Eg. Tree planting, saving seeds, grow vegetables/microgreens etc.
Week 2: Reduce (11-17 September 2021) - Eg. Reduce electricity, shower time (water), plastic waste etc.
Week 3: Reuse (18-24 September 2021) - Eg. Reusable containers, cups, stainless steel straws, egg cartons etc.
Week 4: Recycle (25-30 September 2021) - Eg. Plastic, paper & cardboard, aluminium can, glass, electronic waste etc.

In conjunction with World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation and Season of Creation 2021, CDM Care for Creation Ministry is organizing a competition!🖼️Thank you for showing your interest and here are some details regarding this competition.🌱

-Primary school: 7-12 years old
-Secondary school: 13-17 years old

Lazarus being raised from the dead has certain similarity with Jesus own resurrection. Jesus represents life in involution, and this must die so that evolution can occur. Just like how a seed must die for it to grow.🌱

There is still hope in our rainforest recovery. By planting a tree we give the earth a chance to survive.🌳🌲
