The Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul is one of the ONLY mosques in the world with 6 minarets…

But here’s the crazy part 👇

When it was built, having 6 minarets was considered too prestigious… because the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca also had 6 😳

So what happened?

👉 A 7th minaret was added to Masjid al-Haram to keep its unique status.
