*KMBS is organising Qing Ming Pattidana on Sunday, 12 April 2026, led by Bhante Sunanda* to dedicate merits to our dearly departed ones and friends. This event is also for us to express our gratitude, cultivate spiritual virtues to honour the memory of the departed, and help them be relieved of suffering.

*Ven. Sunanda*
Ven. Sunanda ordained in 1982 in Sri Lanka and received his higher ordination in 1987. He graduated in Pāli and Sanskrit languages and obtained his BA and MA degrees from University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka in 2014. He earned Royal Pandit Degree in Pāli, Sanskrit and Sinhalese Languages in 2015. He completed his Second master’s degree in Three Traditions in Buddhism Theravāda, Mahāyāna and Tantrayāna at International Buddhist College in Thailand. He has worked as a Government Teacher for Pāli and Sanskrit languages, Buddhism and Mass Communication in Sri Lanka more than 20 years. He graduated in 2017 as a Certified Professional Coach by following the ICF-ACTP Certified Professional Coach Program conducted by Co-operate Coach Academy in Malaysia and earned his 3rd master’s degree in applied psychology from HELP University in Malaysia.
Currently Ven. Sunanda resides at the Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, Kuala Lumpur and has been researching for PhD in University Malaya.
