4th July 2026 - Enrolment Day 2026 ⚓

As we gather for Enrolment Day, the 2nd Penang Company marks a meaningful moment in our journey — the passing of leadership from one Captain to the next.

Beyond the awards, promotions, and oaths taken, this occasion reminds us that leadership is a responsibility carried with faithfulness, humility, and service.

We give thanks for the commitment, guidance, and dedication of our outgoing Captain Ewe Hong, whose leadership has helped shape the Company and its members over the years.

As the baton is passed on to the new Captain Andrew Ng, we look forward with unity and hope, trusting that the same spirit of service will continue to lead the 2nd Penang Company forward.

May we continue to stand firm, serve faithfully, and live out our BB motto:

“Sure and Steadfast.” ⚓

We, the officers and members of the 2nd Penang Company, express our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mr Daniel Kung on 22 March 2026.

With his passing, the era of our 1952 Pioneer Boys has come to an end, closing a significant chapter in the history of the 2nd Penang Company. It is a sobering reminder that we will no longer be able to welcome any of the original 1952 Pioneer Boys at our future major events and celebrations.

The photos shared here show the late Mr Daniel Kung during the 1952 Inaugural Enrolment Service of the 2nd Penang Company.

May Mr Daniel Kung rest in peace, and may his life and legacy continue to be remembered with gratitude and honour.

⚓️🇲🇾 ASEAN Navy Showcase 2025
Despite the rain at Swettenham Pier, our 2nd Penang Company Boys’ Brigade members joined thousands of visitors to explore the ten majestic warships berthed in George Town.

We had the privilege of stepping aboard KD Lekiu and KD Lekir—two of the Royal Malaysian Navy’s proudest assets, named after legendary heroes from the Hikayat Hang Tuah. Truly an inspiring experience for our boys! 💙✨

🎶 Our 2nd Penang Bagpipe Band had the honour of performing at the 23rd ASEAN+ Age Group Chess Championships (AAGCC) appreciation dinner last night! 🇲🇾🎉

🏆 The prestigious event brought together over 500 participants from 21 countries, celebrating young chess talents from across the region.

🎖️ A special highlight: the band ushered in the Guest of Honour, His Excellency Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Ramli Ngah Talib, the Yang di‑Pertua Negeri (Governor) of Penang, with a ceremonial tune as he entered the Che Hoon Khor Moral Uplifting Society hall.

🎼 It was a proud moment of music, culture, and honour for our band and the 2nd Penang Company.
