Our mission
To demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the people in Sarawak and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ together with the local churches. Christmas present in a shoebox for the needy. We are going to run this project at Miri – through churches and few organizations this September. Why?
1. Create a simple platform for the Christians to be involved in helping the needy children
2. To reach out to the needy children at unreachable places in Sarawak.
3. It is more blessed to give than to receive. For the 1st year of running this project, we are targeting people in Sarawak, especially Miri area / division. We are targeting 200-250 boxes for maximum 5 areas,
How?
1. HOW TO PACK SHOE BOX
• Pray for the child who will receive your gift.
• Determine whether your gift will be for a boy or a girl, and the child’s age category: 5-8, 9-13
•Use an empty shoe box (standard size) and wrap the box with normal Christmas wrapping paper.
• Print out the label (will upload soon) and mark the correct age category on the label and tape to the top of your box.
• Fill the box with gifts that will bring delight to a child. Use the gift ideas guideline provided (will upload soon). Write the card given in the box and you shall receive a reply from them after delivery.
• It will be great if RM5 or more donation will be given for each shoe box that you prepared to help cover the transportation and project costs.
•Drop off your box at your church before 15th of November.
2. HOW TO GET INVOLVED?
• Pack a box
• Be a volunteer (check on the requirements of becoming a volunteer)
• Offer your company location as one of the drop of station
• Be part of our prayer team
