Amitabha Buddhist Fellowship (ABF) We aim to advance the knowledge and inform our fellow Buddhist Devotees, Friends and Supporters on the indepth of Buddhism as an Education.

Amitabha Buddhist Fellowship conducts animal liberation activities on a regular basis. Everyone is welcome to participate in this wonderful practice. We can liberate animals on behalf of our loved ones, a person who is ill or for other virtuous reasons. Unlike humans, animals do not have the capacity to reflect on Dharma and change their minds for the better. Driven by their previous negative karm

a and due to their deep-seated ignorance, animals engage in non-virtuous actions continuously. The best way to help animals is to bring them into direct contact with the teachings of Buddha by reciting mantras in their presence. Reciting teachings on bodhicitta leaves positive imprints in the minds of animals. Our generosity creates the cause for them to have a good rebirth in their future lives where they can meet and practise Dharma. After liberating the animals, we dedicate our merit to the complete enlightenment of all sentient beings, especially those who have not met Dharma. We also dedicate the merit of this practice to the long and healthy lives of our spiritual teachers, family members and friends.

Saddha is often translated as "Faith".
But saddha in the Buddha Dhamma is NOT Blind faith nor any leap into the unknown.

The Buddha wants us to use our intellect, our experience and see for ourselves the correctness of the Dhamma.

He invites us all to "Ehipassiko", to come and experience for oneself the applicability of the Dhamma.

This will lead to Saddha, our Experiential Confidence in the Teachings.
