Salib MPC Recap — Day 2 | Taizé Night 🕯️

Day 2 brought us into a night of quiet prayer, reflection, and worship through Taizé.

Taizé Prayer is a meditative form of prayer that uses simple, repetitive chants, Scripture, silence, and stillness to help us slow down, listen, and open our hearts to God.

In the presence of the cross, we paused from the noise of everyday life and simply remained with Him.

A beautiful night of prayer, peace, and being reminded that sometimes, we don't need many words, just a heart willing to listen.

Salib MPC Recap — Day 1 ✝️

Day 1 | Arrival at St. Peter’s Church

The journey of the Salib MPC continues as it arrives at St. Peter’s Church.

From its journey through different churches and communities, the cross carries with it not only a message of faith, but also the prayers, memories, and encounters shared along the way.

As we welcome the Salib MPC to our parish, may we be reminded to walk with Christ, carry our own crosses, and never walk alone.

Join us on Saturday, 8 August 2026, as we celebrate this special milestone during the 6:00 PM Sunset Mass at St. Peter's Church, Padungan. Together, let us accompany the Salib in prayer and thanksgiving as it begins the next chapter of its journey.

✝️ Handover of the Salib MPC | Happening Later

Today, after the Sunset Mass, St. Peter's Church will officially hand over the Salib MPC to our sister church, Our Lady Star of the Sea, where it will continue its pilgrimage for the next one week.

The Salib will then return to St. Peter's Church on 8 August 2026 for its final day with our parish before continuing its journey to Holy Trinity Church.

As we bid the Salib farewell for now, let us continue to accompany the Cross with our prayers, knowing that this pilgrimage unites our parishes in faith, hope, and love.

✝️ Fellowship Night & Potluck is happening tonight! 🍲

✨ Begin the evening by walking together with the Salib MPC in a short procession from Mary Immaculate Convent to St. Peter Parish Hall at 8:00PM. Let us accompany the Cross in prayer as one community. Everyone is warmly invited to join the procession.

After the procession, stay for our Fellowship Night & Potluck as we gather around the Salib MPC. Let us share food, laughter, prayers, and the joy of being one family in Christ. 🤍

✝️ THE CROSS WILL BE AT MARY IMMACULATE CONVENT, PADUNGAN ✝️

The Cross will be brought to Mary Immaculate Convent, Padungan at 9:00 AM on Friday, 31 July.

Following its arrival, the Convent Chapel will be open for Adoration and personal prayer, giving parishioners and all who wish to spend time with the Cross an opportunity for quiet reflection and worship.

🙏 *Adoration & Prayer at the Foot of the Cross*
⛪ The Convent Chapel will remain open for parishioners and all who wish to spend time in prayer before the Cross.

🕕 *6:00 AM*– Morning Mass at the Convent Chapel

We invite you to spend a quiet hour in the presence of the Lord.

Come before the Blessed Sacrament in prayer and take the opportunity to receive God's mercy through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

On this Day 5 of Perjalanan Salib MPC, let us gather to pray the Holy Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, entrusting our worries, hopes, and loved ones to the Lord.
