Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her."
- Ephesians 5:25
The Bride of Christ is loved with a love that cannot be measured. No depth can contain it, no height can surpass it, no time can diminish it. It is a love that existed before your first breath and will remain long after your last. A love that does not rise and fall with your emotions, your performance, or your faithfulness.
It is steady. It is relentless. It is eternal. Jesus did not go to the cross reluctantly, as if pressured by obligation. He was not dragged into sacrifice. He walked toward it.
With every step toward Calvary, He knew the weight He would carry: the sin, the shame, the rejection. He knew the cost. And still, He chose it. Why? Because in His heart, He saw His Bride. He saw you.
Every lash on His back was love speaking. Every drop of blood was a declaration: “I will not let her go.” The cross was not merely a place of suffering...it was a place of covenant.
In the ancient world, covenants were sealed with blood, binding two lives together in an unbreakable promise. When Jesus shed His blood, He was not only paying for sin: He was establishing a covenant of love that could never be undone.
This was not just about canceling a debt. It was about claiming a Bride. He was, in a sense, saying: "I give Myself fully, so that she may be Mine eternally."
The cross was not only redemption...it was pursuit. It was not only sacrifice...it was devotion. And the resurrection? It was the assurance that this love would never fail, never fade, never lose its power.
Still, many hearts struggle to rest in this truth. We look at our lives and see inconsistency. We see prayers we forgot to pray, moments we fell short, battles we are still fighting. And quietly, a thought begins to form: "Maybe His love for me is less because of this."
But the cross silences that lie. Jesus did not love a future, perfected version of you. He loved you knowing everything. He saw every sin before you committed it. Every failure before you fell into it. Every moment of weakness before you experienced it.
And still...He chose the cross.
His love was never built on your worthiness. It was built on His nature.
God does not love you because you deserve it. He loves you because He is love.
So when you feel weak, His love does not weaken. When you feel distant, His love does not move. When you feel unworthy, His love does not withdraw.
The Bride of Christ stands secure not because she is flawless, but because she is fully loved.
And this love is not temporary. It will not run out. It will not grow tired. It will not change its mind. It is eternal.
One day, the Bride will stand before Jesus, and everything will become clear. Every hidden doubt, every quiet insecurity, every question carried in the heart will be swallowed up in the overwhelming reality of His presence.
And in that moment, she will finally understand: She was never barely loved. She was never conditionally loved. She was always...completely, deeply, eternally...loved.
So today, don’t just settle for knowing that you are forgiven. Let your heart go deeper. You are pursued. You are desired. You are held by a love that chose the cross and still chooses you.
You are the Bride…..and you are loved with an everlasting love 🤍
