Wishing each of you a blessed and joyful Easter.
Christ is risen—Alleluia!

As we celebrate the Resurrection, I am especially mindful that moments like this do not happen in isolation. They are made possible through the generosity, kindness, and quiet faithfulness of so many who give of themselves in seen and unseen ways.
I want to offer my heartfelt gratitude to:

Tracey Malloy, for her generous donations to the altar, helping to create a space that reflects the beauty and reverence of our worship.

The Right Reverend Lark J. Muncy, for his continued support and donations to the Anglican Missionaries of St. Francis.

Daniel and the St. Gemma Center, for their generosity and partnership in this work.

John Lee, whose support and presence continue to be a gift to this community.

The Eel Family, for their donation of folding chairs—simple in form, but a meaningful contribution that allows us to gather more fully as a community.

Fr. Rob Edwards, for his donation in support of the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, deepening the spiritual life of our mission.

And to all of you who support us in ways both large and small—through your prayers, your presence, your encouragement, and your generosity—please know that this mission grows because of you.

We are building something sacred together.

May the joy of the Resurrection fill your hearts with hope, renew your spirit, and remind you that new life is always possible.
With gratitude and love,

Fr. Tom

In recent days, we have all seen how quickly messages, images, and opinions can spread—some true, some distorted, and some entirely fabricated. In a world shaped by AI, media, politics, and constant online voices, it is becoming harder to know what is real and what is meant to provoke fear or division.

As people of faith, we are not called to panic. We are called to pray.

Let us not allow fake posts, loud voices, or manipulative narratives to take away the God-given gift of our ability to think critically, to research carefully, and to discern wisely. God did not ask us to abandon our minds; God invites us to love God with all our mind, all our heart, and all our soul.

This is not about defending religion or protecting an institution. It is about staying rooted in God—listening for God’s still, small voice beneath the noise of the world.

So today, I invite you to pause. Pray for peace. Pray for clarity. Pray for the grace to resist fear and to choose truth, compassion, and wisdom.

And above all, let us remember the commandment that guides every decision we make: Love God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind…. and love your neighbor as yourself.

When we live from that place, no false narrative, no political agenda, and no digital distortion can lead us away from the One who is Truth itself.

We are deeply grateful for the beautiful turnout on Ash Wednesday. Thank you to all who came, prayed, and shared in this sacred beginning of Lent with us. Together we remembered who we are, whose we are, and the mercy that calls us home.

As we continue this holy season, you are warmly invited to join us for Holy Mass each Sunday at 12:00 PM.

All are welcome. Come as you are, and walk the journey of faith with us.

Ash Wednesday – Ashes to Go

This Wednesday, February 18, you are warmly invited to receive ashes as we begin the holy season of Lent. For your convenience, we will be offering “Ashes to Go,” allowing you to receive ashes either by walking up or driving up—whichever works best with your day.

Times: 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM
Location: 559 Paseo Jurica, Jurica

Whether you are on your way to work, running errands, or heading to another appointment, you are welcome to pause for a brief moment of prayer and the imposition of ashes. This simple ritual reminds us of our need for grace, renewal, and God’s abiding presence in our lives.

All are welcome. Come as you are.

✨ You Are Invited to Holy Mass Today ✨

“Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Today’s Gospel reminds us that Christ stops for the one who cries out… the one who feels unseen, unheard, or uncertain… the one who simply longs to see again.

As we stand on the threshold of Lent this Quinquagesima Sunday, we gather to encounter the One who pauses, listens, and restores our sight. This is a sacred moment to bring our questions, our wounds, our hopes, and our faith—just as we are.

If you have ever felt spiritually weary, if you are seeking mercy, clarity, healing, or simply a place to belong, this Mass is for you. You do not need to have everything figured out. You only need the courage to show up and whisper, “Lord, let me see again.”

Come and walk with us on the road toward Jerusalem, where Christ meets us with compassion, restores our vision, and invites us to follow him into new life.

🌿 This Sunday: A Different Kind of Church 🌿

Septuagesima Sunday — The Third Sunday before Lent

If you’ve ever felt tired of church that feels demanding, judgmental, or disconnected from real life—this Sunday is for you.

This Sunday marks Septuagesima, a quiet turning point in the church year. It’s not Lent yet. There are no ashes. No pressure. Just an invitation to pause and remember something simple and freeing:

👉 God’s grace is not earned.
👉 You don’t have to arrive “on time.”
👉 You belong because you are here.

At The Anglican Missionaries of St. Francis, we are an inclusive, progressive, bilingual community made up of expats, locals, LGBTQIA+ folks, and people who may have been hurt or pushed aside by the church before. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t even need to know what you believe.

Just come as you are.

🪑 Bring a chair
🕛 Sunday at 12:00 PM
📍 559 Paseo Jurica, Jurica (residential courtyard)

• a community that welcomes questions
• a place to breathe before Lent begins

You are warmly invited.

And if this sounds like something someone you know might need right now, please share this post. You never know who’s quietly looking for a place like this.

No necesitas tener respuestas. Ni siquiera necesitas saber exactamente en qué crees.

Ven tal como eres.
