Friends, after many months of praying and seeking wise counsel from those we love and admire, we have decided to draw to a close our time in Mexico, and move back to the States this coming May.
As you can imagine, we did not take this decision lightly. Mexico is what we know as a family. We have been married longer in Mexico than in the States. Our boys were born here, one of whom is quickly becoming more fluent in the language by the day. 😉 And ultimately, we have grown together, both as a couple and as individuals in our walk with Christ. Mexico takes up quite a bit of space in our hearts.
The church here has become our family in a home away from home. We look back fondly at the many memories with the many people with whom we've crossed paths. It has been incredibly rewarding to see the growth in each one of their lives.
As we look to the future, we feel that it is best for our family to move back at this time, and take care of some things that have been on the back burner for a while now: immigration paperwork for Princeton, further education for the both of us, family matters and more.
We don’t have all of the answers as to what the future looks like, but we are trusting in God throughout the entire process. We want to make ourselves a part of HIS plan and not the other way around.
We are going to deeply miss our coworkers, church members, friends, and this incredible country. Who knows, maybe we’ll find ourselves back in this beautiful country again someday. 😍🇲🇽
For now, we would like to ask you to join with us in prayer as we make this tough transition. Pray for the peace that passes all understanding, continued clarity, that we will lean fully into our Father when this change will inevitably feel overwhelming, for Elijah’s ability to understand the best a 4-year-old can, and above all that we can continue to glorify God with our lives.
Feel free to reach out to us with any questions!
We love you all so much and are forever grateful for the love and support you’ve shown. 💛
