THEME: AN OFFERING FOR GODS TEMPLE
INTRODUCTION
People of God we have got many offering so every offering it has got a name and a purpose why you give offering to God. When you give an offering everything it has got a purpose, when we say time for offering it means offering that will be used in the temple of God, when you offer your tithes that will be used in the work of temple of God and also there is offering which has a name for building.
SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 25 VS 1-3 AND 8-9
Why God, He wanted Moses to take an offering? For them to build a sanctuary. So God told Moses take an offering to everyone who his heart is willing. So there is offering for building the temple of God, there is offering that God is demanding it is an offering for building the temple of God. So God is demanding an offering the offering that can be used to build the temple of God.
WHAT IS AN OFFERING?
1. It is contribution toward building the church of God.
2. It is free will giving toward building the church of God
3. It is contribution toward God. So that we call an offering to God.
WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF BUILDING THE TEMPLE OF GOD? (EXODUS 25 VS š.
1. WE MAKE GOD TO BE FOUND AMONG US / GOD WILL DWELL AMONG US
- Let me assure you; the miracles that you are seeing here they will be different when you make a sanctuary for God, God should be honored because you have built a sanctuary for Him. If you want to see God build Him a sanctuary, when you build a sanctuary for God then you will see God becoming God in your life. Bible says in verse 1-2 āThe Lord said to Moses, speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me contribution from everyone Man whose heart moves Him you shall receive the contribution for meā.
- We call them voluntary giving, so who is demanding an offering? It is God. He said to Moses receive offering on behalf of Me, so Moses, He received an offering on behalf of God. Whom receive an offering? It is the one whose heart moves Him to give, voluntary giving toward the work of God. So He said receive an offering to everyone voluntarily, people were giving voluntarily, so we give to God voluntarily according to what God has commanded us to do. EXODUS 25 VS 29-30. So God commanded Moses to say take an offering for what purpose? To build sanctuary for God. Not from all people but from only person whose heart moves to do so, thatās why God is commanding us to receive an offering.
2. IT GLORIFIES / HONORS GOD.
- So when you build a sanctuary for God, God He become honored, it glorifies God, so everyone become honored. So when you build house of God it honors God.
3. PROVOKES THE BLESSINGS OF GOD.
- So when we give we provoke the blessings of God, when we build a sanctuary for God it means we shall be blessed, the blessings of God shall come upon us, the mighty blessings of God shall come upon us why we have given to God, and we have built a house of God. So the more we have built a house of God we are making the blessing of God be upon us, so it means that all the blessings of God shall be upon us why we have built the house of God. IN REFERENCE 2 CHRONICLES 29 VS 21. Quote me; offering has no any limit, anything that your heart push you to do so it can be an offering before God. People of God we need to have a heart of giving and we need to give beyond on what has been spoken, please anything that your heart moves you to do so, do it to the work of God, bring it to the work of God and that thing it will bring Glory upon your life.
WE HAVE GOT TWO TEMPLE OF GOD
1. VISIBLE/ PHYSICAL: it is where we congregate.
- So when we build physical church for God we are making God to be glorious on us, He Himself, He dwell among us so that we can get healing and deliverance. The moment you be entering that sanctuary you be finding His presence there, so it means that Healing, Deliverance will be happening there because we have built a church/ sanctuary for God. So we have to do so and we have to honor God by that, we have to glorify God by that.
- So whenever a church is built, altar of God is built meaning that all false altars has been destroyed why the altar of God has been directed, so we have to do so for the glory of God, to honor God. So please we have to be cheerful there is more blessings when you build the temple of God, anyone who contribute to the house of God you are making God to be honored thatās why you have to know that and you have to give yourself to God because God, He need to be glorify and honored. Thatās why God is commanding us to build His temple. Am telling you the truth; God will never forget your work, and your contribution that you have contribute toward His work. So everyone who give to the work of God, give to the house of God will never miss your blessing you will receive all your blessing, you will have all what belongs to your life why because God now has got home where He can be found. Everyone who gives to the work of God, you are bringing a foundation of reaches of your family and everyone who follows you.
- Blessings are in building the house of God IN REFERENCE EZRA 2 VS 68-69. So you also you can give according to your ability free will giving you have to support the work of God, you have to contribute to the work of God, so the more we commit ourselves the more we are provoking the blessing of God upon our lives. More blessings shall be frock on you, more doors shall be open for you and Favour, and Grace of God shall come upon your life.
2. INVISIBLE/SPIRITUAL: it is your heart
WHAT SHOULD BE YOUR CONDITION OF YOUR HEART DURING GIVING?
1. WILLING HEART.
- Give with willing heart that is condition of your heart during giving. Remember that Bible says take an offering from everyone whose heart willing to do so, remember people of God it is God who give us wealthy but when it comes for God to take things from you, He will never use force but He need you to give willingly. So God He need an offering or contribution which is coming from a willing heart, you need to have a willingly within you, toward to the things that you are seeing God doing in your life thatās why God was demanding that offering, He was saying that take an offering from every person whose heart is willing to do so. So God He need your heart and He need you to have a willing heart.
2. CHEERFULLY (2CORINTHIANS 9 VS 7).
- If you want to see God blessing you give it cheerfully or give it with joyfully. So God, He need a cheerful giver the Man who can give cheerful, and God He loves a cheerful giver, He need everyone who giving must give cheerfully in 2CHRONICLES 24 VS 10-12
