4TH DECEMBER SUNDAY SERVICE WITH PASTOR J A MPONDA
Theme: *"WHAT SHOULD YOU DO WHEN YOU'RE AT THE BATTLE FIELD"*
Scripture reading;
2 chronicle 20v21-22, 24-26.
> Battle field is the place where battle takes place. Know that our mind is the equally field for our spiritual battles.
> Despite Jehoshaphat receiving advise that the battle was the Lord's, God further instructed him to in v16 saying - 'Tomorrow, arise & go down against them.' Here we learn that we have own roles to play in the Lord's battle.
> While at the battle field, Jehoshaphat appointed singers (worshippers in today's language) and set them in front of the army.
Here, we learn that the army represent our own power & strength that should not take precedence - instead, let God take charge!
> In any situation you face in this life, never depend on own abilities. Depend on the mercies of the Lord! Blessed is the man who put God first.
> The moment you fail to see God in your situation, know you are as well defeated before the battle even begins. The secret to fight life battle, is NOT in accusing God, BUT seeing God's love and mercies upon your life.
> When singers took action by beginning to sing saying - 'Praise the Lord for his mercies endure forever,' God set an ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab and Mt Seir that had come against them.
> v26 God turned their situation for the better. The battle field changed be the field of blessings.
> I see somebody here going through tough situation more than anybody else, know that God is turning your situation into a blessing. You will be the happiest person ever!
> The greater the multitude, the greater the spoil. The God of Jehoshaphat is here for you!
> ... "somebody here is coming to the valley of Berachah" - 'the place of your rest' to collect your 3 days spoil.
> People of Juda and Jerusalem went back home richer than they came to the battle field.
May this be your portion! Come back with a testimony...
In Jesus' name ... AM
