A new National Baháʼí House of Worship is planned for construction in Lilongwe, Malawi, as announced by the Universal House of Justice in October 2024. As a Mashriqu'l-Adhkár ("Dawning-place of the remembrances of God"), it will serve as a center for prayer, meditation, and community service.

As we eagerly embark on the materialisation of this bounty in Malawi, let us appreciate the significance of Houses of Worship (national and local) as described in Nepal

THE NEWLY ELECTED NATIONAL SPIRITUAL ASSEMBLY OF THE BAHÁ'IS OF MALAWI

The Bahá'í election process is a sacred practice rooted in spiritual principles, emphasising prayerful reflection, selflessness, and the collective search for individuals who exemplify integrity, wisdom, and a capacity to serve. The elections are uniquely devoid of campaigning or nominations. Voters silently and privately, in a prayerful mode, select those they feel are best suited to foster unity and advance the common good.
