JANUARY NEWS UPDATE 2026
The beginning of the year always brings new things and we meet new people. The Tailoring class is on and we have 14 students. This is their 3rd week in class. Patty is teaching together with Rebecca, one of our staff members.
We have 39 girls in the hostel. We have a seen a lot of spiritual growth in many of the girls as they share on what God has been doing in their lives since staying in the hostel.
Daystar Farm
We Planted 23 acres of maize, 5 acres of soya beans, and 1 and a half acres of sweet potatoes. We now have 27 goats.
The Discipleship and Feeding Program had a Christmas party for the children on the 20th. The children participated in Bible Quiz, with some prizes given to those who answered questions correctly. They also shared memory verses. Some of the children memorized 15 verses in the course of the year.
Nzotheka Restaurant
We saw an increase in people coming to eat at the Restaurant in December and January. We are very grateful to hear the customers complement the chef because of the good food.
Praises and Prayers
• Our son Chris has finished his studies. He is now waiting for his work permit that he applied for in December. The work permit will allow him to work. Please pray for the issuance of the work permit in a timely manner.
• Praise God for the rains that enabled us to plant our crops. Continue to pray for more rain. It’s been a week since the last rainfall.
• Praise God for an increase in customers coming to eat at the Restaurant.
• Pray for us and our staff to hunger and thirst for God as we serve Him.
• Pray for hearts that are fertile for God’s Word to take root and grow within the children and youth.
• We are planning to have a Youth Camp this year in August.

We are fundraising for a lawn mower. Currently we are cutting grass by hand, which is slower and harder. The projected price of a lawn mower is $1000
