Laudato Si Movement Malawi Laudato Si Movement Malawi

Laudato Si Movement, formerly known as Global Catholic Climate Movement (GCCM) was started in 2015, as the fruit of a kairos – the Greek word used in the Gospel to express “an opportune moment.” This opportune moment in 2015 was the combination of two transformative events that has shaped how the Catholic Church and humanity responds to the ecological crisis as expressed in both the Laudato Si’ en

cyclical of Pope Francis and the Paris Climate Agreement. Laudato Si Movement Malawi is composed of volunteers within Malawi who wants to do something about the cry of Mother Earth through three simple steps of See, Judge and Act.

Laudato Si': A Hymn of Hope for Earth

In a world where nature's whispers wane,
Pope Francis penned a plea, a guiding flame,
"Laudato si'", a call to hearts and minds,
To where ecology and ethics entwined.

"Listen," he beckons, as the Earth sighs,
A tale of interwoven threads and ties,
Of forests felled, and oceans stained with sorrow,
A plea for change, for a brighter tomorrow.

In words that dance with wisdom's grace,
He paints a vision of a fragile place,
Where human hands have marred the land,
And nature's cries we must understand.

Integral ecology, the song he sings,
Where earth and soul unite on wings,
Of dialogue deep, where voices blend,
In unity our broken world to mend.

So let us heed this sacred call,
To rise, to act, before we fall,
For in our hands, the power resides,
To heal our home, where love abides.

"Laudato si'", a hymn of hope and care,
To echo through the skies, the land, the air,
A reminder of our shared destiny,
To cherish Earth, our common legacy.
