News: Overwhelming joy as Bishop Peter Musikuwa presides over St. Monica outstation ground breaking ceremony
On June 14, Mitondo Parish was filled with overwhelming joy as St. Monica ( Mpama II)Church Outstation celebrated a major milestone in its history. His Lordship Bishop Peter Musikuwa presided over the cornerstone-laying ceremony for the new church building, marking the beginning of a permanent place of worship for the community.

News: Pray for our Diocese: Bishop Musikuwa tasks AWRIM – Chikwawa
Bishop Peter Musikuwa of the Diocese of Chikwawa has called on religious sisters under the Association of Women Religious in Malawi, serving in the Diocese to spare time to pray for the Diocese as it faces numerous challenges in its mission.
The call was made on Saturday 13th June 2026 when a new executive for AWRIM in the Diocese was presented before him at his residence.

News: Bishop Musikuwa condemns mob justice
His Lordship Peter Musikuwa, Bishop of the Diocese of Chikwawa has condemned in strong terms recent actions of mob justice that has left 8 people dead and a number wounded, having allegedly been accused of being the cause for some people’s private parts missing.

The Bishop expressed his sentiments during the 60th commemoration of World day for Communications, on Sunday 17th May 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima parish in Nsanje.

Remember Fr. Stanford Sungani in your prayers today as he is celebrating his birthday. Dear Father in you we admire the spirit of hardworking and service. The Church is benefiting a lot from this noble spirit and we believe Christ will always make it yield good results especially saving souls at end of time.

Jesus Christ begins the mission and completes it Himself in those who work hard serving the Church despite the economic challenges and never give up. Keep it up.

Bishop Peter Musikuwa has urged members of the clergy who are holding different offices to reflect the light of Christ in their work.
The remarks have been made at the Bishop’s house conference room on 12th May 2026, when he invited chaplains and directors of different apostolates and institutions for a meeting.

Bishop Peter Martin Musikuwa of the Diocese of Chikwawa has urged young people to desist from resorting to mob justice as a way of seeking redress. The Bishop made the remarks at Ngabu on Monday 11th May 2026during the funeral of Mr. Alan Mashonga.
