THE MYSTERY OF ALTARS
_Judges 6:20–27_

Everything in the physical realm is rooted in the spiritual realm. The spiritual governs the physical, so physical problems don’t always have physical solutions. Spiritual battles demand spiritual weapons. Jesus understood this. When He fed the multitude, the bread multiplied by divine power, even though people ate it physically.

Life requires discernment to know when a situation calls for physical action and when it calls for spiritual action.

An altar is the meeting point between the spiritual and the physical. It’s the doorway through which spiritual realities enter the natural world. Abraham knew this when God told him to sacrifice Isaac. He needed an altar to connect with God. Jacob encountered God at a specific place and saw angels ascending and descending — proof that God doesn’t manifest randomly.

Elijah understood the same principle. Before fire could fall in his contest with the prophets of Baal, he first repaired the altar. The altar was his point of spiritual access.

Altars can work for you or against you. Personal, family, community, and national altars all influence lives — either releasing blessing or enforcing limitation. Abraham built a righteous altar, and its blessings reached his descendants.

God told Gideon to tear down the old altar before building a new one. Wrong foundations must be removed before God can establish His own. As long as a negative altar stays active, it can hinder progress. Altars speak. They can bless, or they can resist.

The mystery of altars is spiritual, not physical. When Moses lifted his hands, Israel prevailed. When he lowered them, they lost. Their victory hinged on what was happening spiritually.

An altar’s power depends on what you place on it. Solomon offered a thousand cattle, and God appeared to him that night. Cain and Abel were distinguished by their offerings. The widow who gave Elijah her last meal unlocked divine provision.

Spiritual breakthroughs cost something. Sacrifice isn’t just money — it’s obedience and surrender. Many miracles are delayed because nothing has been laid on the altar.

Physical stone altars may be rare in the New Testament, but spiritual altars remain. So ask yourself: Do I just need prayer, or is there something God is asking me to place on the altar?

*DELIVERANCE SUNDAY*

Exodus 3: 1-10
Luke 4 :18

The topic of deliverance is debatable, some feel it is important while others say it it unnecessary because they lack understanding of its meaning. A lot of people have gone for deliverance without having full knowledge of what deliverance is.

Some went for deliverance and things changed for a while and after sometime things went back to how they were before deliverance. People with generational curses found themselves walking the same life after deliverance.

So what exactly is deliverance? Deliverance is in phases. In the Kingdom of God you don't have to fight an issue several times, one deliverance is enough. When God blesses a man he is blessed indeed, calling for deliverance over an issue several times shows that Christians are missing it somewhere.

When God delivered Israel from Egypt it was once and for all. The word "deliver" means to be rescued, to pull out and it can also mean to change places or positions. So if you are delivered you are changed from your position. When you are delivered from poverty it means you have moved to prosperity, sickness to health and singlehood to married.

When the Lord called Moses he told him to go to Egypt to deliver his people and their position changed. It was very possible for God to let them inherit the land of the Egyptians because he fought their battles while in Egypt, but for total deliverance to take place Moses was supposed to take the Israelites to another place full of milk and honey.

Deliverance is in two phases; physical and mental. The Israelites where to move physically and also their mind was supposed to change. This was so because their mind was still in Egypt, every time they faced a challenge they preferred to go back to Egypt. So if a man of God help you with deliverance without changing your mindset then you will find yourself at the same place again and again. Real deliverance starts with your mind.

Deliverance is not only administered it is preached as well. Jesus first preached change of mindset then went ahead to administer deliverance. Mary first accepted the word that was said upon her life "let it be unto me" that's when she became pregnant. Spiritual things don't force themselves into you unless you allow them.

What Jesus did on the cross is not equivalent to what many Christians are passing through. Scriptures say that with his stripes we were healed, but many are passing through battles in Church. Peter told the crippled to take his mat and walk, until he accepted in his mind, strength entered his legs. No power operates without a shift in the mindset.

After mindset is dealt with that's when physical deliverance begins. Know that as a child of God there are standards in which you are supposed to operate from, your life should preach that you belong to God.

Theme: Hunger Is Your Container God Fills What You Bring

The Law of Hunger:
God pours on dry ground
Isaiah 44:3 “I will pour water on the thirsty land.”
Your desperation determines your portion. God doesn’t fill casual seekers. He floods the thirsty. The depth of your hunger is the depth of His move in your life.

Your Posture also matters. You need to be violent in the Spirit to get what you want.
Gen 32:26 “I will not let You go unless You bless me.”
Jacob wrestled ALL NIGHT with one prayer. That’s not religion,that’s desperation.True hunger doesn’t negotiate with convenience. It breaks protocol, tears roofs, and refuses to leave without an encounter.

Excuses Expose Your Appetite
“I don’t have transport.” “I have headache.”
The truth is:Your excuse reveals your hunger level.The widow didn’t tell Elisha “I’m tired.” She moved. Hungry people don’t explain why they can’t come,they find a way to get to the oil. Hunger cancels comfort.

Your container also determines your collection.
2 Kings 4:1-7
The prophet said: “Borrow vessels… not a few.”
The oil stopped, not because God ran out, but because she ran out of jars
Prophetic key: Heaven’s supply is limitless. The limit is your capacity.
God won’t pour into what you haven’t prepared. No jar = no oil.
No hunger = no filling.

Pentecost Proves It in Acts 2
Joel prophesied “I will pour My Spirit on all flesh.”
But only the 120 in the Upper Room got filled. Why? They were the only ones hungry enough to wait.
The outpouring wasn’t for everyone,it was for the desperate. Public prophecy needs private hunger.

Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”
What you crave is what you’ll carry. Hunger for gossip fills you with strife. Hunger for God fills you with glory. Your appetite is prophecy.

ALTAR CALL QUESTION: How hungry are you?
Your hunger decides your depth.
Your depth decides your overflow.
Stop blaming God for a shallow life when you bring Him a small jar.

“Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it”psalms 81:10.

Message Title: Heart Alignment

In God’s kingdom, not everything is unlocked by prayer alone. There are principles we are called to live by if we want to see things come to pass. Time by itself doesn’t bring miracles — if you are waiting on the Lord, you are also meant to walk in obedience to His ways.

At Babel,a group of people set out to build a tower that would reach the heavens. They wanted to make a name for themselves instead of lifting up God’s name. Because their hearts were misaligned, the Lord came down and confused their language, scattering their plans.

The power of prayer is not found in the words we use, but in the motive behind them. Some prayers rise from competition, envy, and jealousy, and those prayers can close the heavens rather than open them. Hannah,for years she prayed for a child, driven by the pain of competing with Peninnah. It was only when she laid that competition down and aligned her heart with the Lord’s will that He answered her.

The Lord weighs the heart before He answers the prayer. In 1 Kings 18 Elijah knew that all the Glory is supposed to be given to the Lord, God first — it was a prayer that simply said, _“Let it be known that you are God in Israel.”_ and fire fell from heaven. His motive was pure: to glorify God, not himself.

The Scripture reminds us of this again when it says the Lord looked at _“Cain and his offering.”_ The Lord was not just examining the offering only; He was examining the giver as well, the heart of the giver. God is not moved by offerings made to glorify ourselves. David understood this when he prayed, _“Lord, answer me, so that I may give You praise in the assembly.”_

Wrong motives shut the heavens. Right motives open them. In the presence of God, the posture of our heart speaks louder than the words from our lips.

And in this era, our hearts have become the altar. In the Old Testament, people built altars of stone. Today, if our hearts are not aligned with the will of the Lord, nothing we pray will truly manifest.
