SWMC AYM YOUTH EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE BRINGS TOGETHER KAY STAKEHOLDERS
Kabula Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church in Blantyre today hosted the South West Malawi Conference (SWMC) Adventist Youth Ministries (AYM) Youth Empowerment (YE) Stakeholders Meeting, bringing together church leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and other partners committed to empowering Adventist youth. The meeting is centered on the theme: "Empowering Adventist Youth for Self-Reliance, Service, Mission, and National Development."
Among the notable guests in attendance are Malawi Union Conference AYM Chairperson Vitumbiko Chijere Chirwa, South West Malawi Conference Youth Director Pastor Elisha Chikumbi Phiri, SWMC AYM Chairperson Hastings Khoromana, together with other church leaders and stakeholders from various professions.
The meeting aims to introduce the Youth Empowerment Initiative, present the proposed Youth Empowerment Handbook and its key focus areas, and engage stakeholders in identifying practical ways they can contribute through mentorship, skills development, internships, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and institutional partnerships. The discussions will also help shape the Youth Empowerment Strategic Plan (2026–2030).
Through interactive breakout sessions and collaborative discussions, participants are exploring practical solutions to the challenges facing Adventist youth while committing their expertise and resources to support a generation that is spiritually grounded, self-reliant, and mission-driven.
The Youth Empowerment Initiative reflects the Church's commitment to equipping young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to serve God faithfully while making meaningful contributions to their communities and the nation.
