๐Ÿ™ You Cannot Serve Two Masters ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿ“– Matthew 6:24 โ€œNo man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.โ€

๐Ÿ’ก Devotional Thought:

On the high mountain, Satan showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, offering them as a gift if only He would bow down and worship him (Matthew 4:8-10).
Christ felt the full weight of that temptation, the lure of power, wealth, and recognition, yet He stood firm:
โ€œThou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.โ€

In that moment, Jesus conquered for all humanity. He faced the same temptation that every man and woman must meet โ€” the love of the world.
The apostle John warns us:
โ€œLove not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.โ€
(1 John 2:15)

Many today are still tempted by Satanโ€™s subtle offer not through open worship, but through the love of riches, fame, and worldly success. The devil doesnโ€™t always ask us to kneel; he only asks us to shift our hearts toward the things of this world until heaven fades from view.

But Christ showed us the way of victory. He resisted by holding fast to Godโ€™s Word and placing His treasure in heaven. He teaches:
โ€œLay not up for yourselves treasures upon earthโ€ฆ but lay up for yourselves treasures in heavenโ€ฆ for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.โ€
(Matthew 6:19-21)

When we love the world, the love of God is pushed aside. But when we love God supremely, the world loses its glitter and we gain a crown of life that never fades.

๐Ÿ™ Reflection & Prayer:

Today, ask yourself: Where is my treasure? What truly holds my heart?
The call of Christ is a call to choose whom we will serve God or mammon, heaven or earth, eternity or the momentary glitter of this world.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for conquering temptation in my place. Help me to resist the love of the world and fix my eyes on the eternal treasure that You have prepared for me. Teach me to serve You only, with a loyal and undivided heart. Amen.

Matthew 4:8-10 โ€“ Jesus tempted with the kingdoms of the world

1 John 2:15-17 โ€“ Love not the world

Isaiah 53:5 โ€“ โ€œHe was wounded for our transgressionsโ€ฆโ€

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 โ€œOur light afflictionโ€ฆ worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.โ€

โœจ Closing Thought:
Christ gave up heavenโ€™s glory to win our salvation. Surely, we can give up the fading treasures of earth to follow Him.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œYou cannot serve both God and the world choose Jesus, and gain everything that truly matters.โ€

๐Ÿ”ฅ Victory in Christ Over Every Spiritual Attack ๐Ÿ”ฅ Part 2

Dear friend, spiritual attacks are real. The enemy uses many weapons financial troubles, sexual temptations, sickness, depression, or what people call โ€œbad luck.โ€ But we must never forget: God has already defeated Satan through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

๐Ÿ‘‰ For God has given โ€œthe immeasurable greatness of his power in us who believe, according to the working of his great might which he accomplished in Christ when he raised him from the dead and made him sit at his right hand in the heavenly places" Ephesians 1:19โ€“21

The resurrection of Christ proves that there is no power of Satan that can stand against the Name of Jesus. The least powerful man on earth be sickly is more powerful in Christ Jesus than Satan and his angels combined. Amen and Amen ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿ”ฅ List of Attacks and Christโ€™s Victory.

Let's claim authority that is vested to us for being Sons of God. ๐Ÿ‘‰ "So through God you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son then an heir." Galatians 4:7

๐Ÿ”ฅ Therefore let us go to the Father our God and claim the authority over Satan and the powers of darkness "in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confidence of access through our faith in him." Ephesians 3:12

1. Financial Attacks ๐Ÿ’ฐ
When money dries up and doors seem closed, remember: โ€œMy God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.โ€ (Philippians 4:19).
โœจ In Christ, you are not a beggar - you are a child of the King. Claim your provision and you shall have them!

2. Sexual Temptations ๐Ÿ”’
The enemy may use lust and immorality to trap you, but the cross has broken the chains of sin. Claim the power of the cross to break sexual covenants that you are now part of spiritually. โ€œIf the Son(Jesus Christ) sets you free, you will be free indeed.โ€ (John 8:36).
โœจ Through Jesus, purity and victory are possible.

3. Addictions ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ’Š
Whether drugs, alcohol, or habits that control you, Christ has already broken their power, all that is needed to subject yourself to his authority and his power will rule your life old things will appear and be evil for before you. โ€œSin shall not have dominion over you.โ€ (Romans 6:14).
โœจ You are no longer a slave ๐Ÿšฎ - you are free in Christ! ๐Ÿ’ช

4. Sickness and Weakness ๐Ÿค’
Jesus bore our pain on the cross. โ€œBy His stripes we are healed.โ€ (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus' cross removes every curse, sickness included, in his work Christ healed and raised the dead. The same Jesus will heal you today.
โœจ Your body belongs to God, and His power can restore strength.

5. Mental Oppression ๐Ÿ˜”
Depression, anxiety, and fear are not greater than Christ. โ€œGod has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.โ€ (2 Timothy 1:7).
โœจ In Jesus, peace replaces torment.

6. Bad Luck / Constant Failure โŒ
The world calls it bad luck, but in Christ there is no curse. โ€œChrist redeemed us from the curse of the law.โ€ (Galatians 3:13).
โœจ You are blessed, not cursed.

7. Broken Relationships ๐Ÿ’”
The devil brings division, but Jesus is our peace. โ€œHe Himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier.โ€ (Ephesians 2:14).
โœจ In Christ, reconciliation and healing are possible.

8. Dream Attacks ๐ŸŒ™
Nightmares and oppression cannot stand against the Name of Jesus. โ€œWhen you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.โ€ (Proverbs 3:24).
โœจ Claim peaceful sleep in Christ.

9. Delay and Stagnation ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ
The enemy may try to hold you back, but Godโ€™s timing is perfect. โ€œThough it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.โ€ (Habakkuk 2:3).
โœจ Your destiny in Christ cannot be stopped.

10. Spiritual Weakness ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
When prayer feels hard, the Spirit helps us, let's pray in our weakness for strength and spiritual abundance. โ€œThe Spirit helps us in our weakness.โ€ (Romans 8:26).
โœจ Christ restores your fire and strength.

11. Temptations into Sin ๐Ÿชค
The devil may pressure you, but the cross gives power to overcome. โ€œNo temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithfulโ€ฆ He will also provide a way out.โ€ (1 Corinthians 10:13).
โœจ Jesus is the way out.

12. Attacks on Identity ๐Ÿชž
Satan whispers lies that you are worthless, but God says: โ€œSee what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!โ€ (1 John 3:1).
โœจ You are Godโ€™s child - chosen, loved, and secure.

13. Persecution โš”๏ธ
When you suffer for Christ, know this: โ€œIf God is for us, who can be against us?โ€ (Romans 8:31).
โœจ Your reward in heaven is great.

14. Sudden Misfortunes ๐Ÿšจ
Accidents, strange lossesโ€”remember: โ€œNo weapon formed against you shall prosper.โ€ (Isaiah 54:17).
โœจ God turns what was meant for evil into good.

15. Generational Patterns โ›“๏ธ
Family struggles may seem to repeat, but the cross breaks every chain. โ€œIf anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.โ€ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
โœจ In Jesus, you start a new story.

โœจ The Power of Christโ€™s Resurrection

Beloved, whatever attack you face, remember: Christ is risen! The same power that raised Him from the dead now works in you (Romans 8:11).

๐Ÿ™Œ Stand tall. Claim your sonship in Christ. Plead the blood of Jesus over your life. Confess daily:
โ€œI am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me.โ€ (Romans 8:37)

No plan of Satan can stand before the name of Jesus. Victory is already yours because of the cross, because of the resurrection, because you are a child of God.

๐Ÿ™ I pray that God should "do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." Ephesians 3:20

๐Ÿ”ฅ Victory Over Spiritual Attacks ๐Ÿ”ฅ Part 1

Many people think lifeโ€™s struggles are just coincidences - โ€œbad luck,โ€ misfortune, or natural causes. But the Bible shows us that 'things donโ€™t just happen. What takes place in the physical is often rooted in the spiritual.'

Look at Jobโ€™s story: Job lost his wealth, his health, and even his children. On the surface, it looked like ordinary tragedy. But behind the scenes, there was a conversation in the spiritual world - Satan asked to test Job, and God allowed it for a purpose (Job 1โ€“2). What Job faced in the physical had already begun in the unseen realm.

This truth runs through Scripture: ๐Ÿ‘‰ Daniel prayed for 21 days before an angel told him the answer was delayed because of spiritual warfare in the heavenly places (Daniel 10:12โ€“13). ๐Ÿ‘‰ Paul reminds us: โ€œOur struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.โ€ (Ephesians 6:12).

๐Ÿ’ก That means the sickness, temptations, sudden losses, and endless struggles we see in life are not just natural - they are often spiritual attacks meant to weaken our faith and pull us away from God.

But here is the good news: Christ has already defeated Satan through His death and resurrection. The same power that God devised when he raised Jesus from the dead is available to us today (Ephesians 1:19โ€“20).

I pray that you have victory over any spiritual attack, over Satan and all his host in the name of Jesus Christ.

๐ŸŒฟ Our Need of Christ ๐ŸŒฟ

We were created for fellowship with God, but sin broke that connection. And if we are honest, weโ€™ve all felt that emptiness inside, the struggles we canโ€™t overcome, the habits we canโ€™t shake, the guilt that doesnโ€™t go away.

The Bible says, โ€œFor all have sinned and fall short of the glory of Godโ€ (Romans 3:23). No matter how hard we try, we canโ€™t fix our hearts by ourselves. Education, good behavior, or willpower canโ€™t make us new.

But here is the good news ๐Ÿ’ก:
God didnโ€™t leave us to struggle alone. โ€œFor the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lordโ€ (Romans 6:23). Jesus stepped into our brokenness, not to condemn, but to save us (John 3:17).

โœจ Why we need Christ:

Sin separates us, but Christ reconciles us (2 Corinthians 5:18).

Sin enslaves, but Christ sets us free (John 8:36).

Sin wounds, but Christ heals and renews our hearts (Ezekiel 36:26).

๐Ÿ™Œ Without Christ we are lost, but with Him we are forgiven, restored, and given hope that never dies.

Friend, if you feel the struggle within, remember Jesus is the only One who can give peace. He says: โ€œCome to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you restโ€ (Matthew 11:28).

๐Ÿ’– Today, that invitation is for you.

Daily devotions - Forgotten Truth Ministry

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bo***ge again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."

"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."

Good works emanates only from a pure heart, so the first thing that every Christian should seek is to have a pure heart which comes only from the Lord and man cannot make that heart of his own because God has promised saying:
"I'm going to give you a new heart, and I'm going to give you a new spirit within all of your deepest parts. I'll remove that rock-hard heart of yours and replace it with one that's sensitive to me.
I'll place ๐—บ๐˜† ๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚, ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—บ๐˜† ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ด๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ and to keep my just decrees. โ€“ Ezekiel 36:26-27 (ISV)

It is God that empowers people such that they should live according to the good works and man cannot empower himself unto good works. Man may try to but that will be only filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6).

The Bible further points out clear as how a Christian is made a doer of good works, Paul said:
โ€œFor ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—š๐—ผ๐—ฑ ๐˜„๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ต ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ต ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐—น๐—น ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ฑ๐—ผ of his good pleasure. - Philippians 2:13 (KJV)
Look at how this other version made this verse so clear: โ€œfor ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ต ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ต ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฒ๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜โ€“ for the sake of his good pleasure โ€“ ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—š๐—ผ๐—ฑ.โ€ - Philippians 2:13 (NET).

It is God that worketh in Christian hearts empowering them both to will and then have the effort to do the good works, and we know that God cannot dwell in an un-pure heart. Therefore, the first thing is for man to have a pure heart then good works will follow.
This was emphasized by the Master Jesus Christ when He taught saying:

EVERY CHRISTIAN SHOULD KEEP THIS IN MIND.

โ€œTherefore we conclude that A MAN IS JUSTIFIED BY FAITH WITHOUT THE DEEDS OF THE LAW."
โ€” Romans 3:28 (KJV)

"The light given me of God places this important subject above any question in my mind. Justification is wholly of grace and not procured by any works that fallen man can do. The matter has been presented before me in clear lines that if the rich man has money and possessions, and he makes an offering of the same to the Lord, false ideas come in to spoil the offering by the thought he has merited the favor of God, that the Lord is under obligation to him to regard him with special favor because of this gift." -EGW, Faith and Works 20.1
