He is helping them to imagine what such love looks like, what it involves. He wants them to understand the difference between lesser types of love and greater types of love. Indeed he wants them to know the greatest kind of love of all.

Pamene chiyanjo cha Mulungu chifika pa mkazi, zaka zake zonse zotayidwa zimalipidwa chifukwa cha phindu. Chiyanjo cha Mulungu chimakupititsani patsogolo pamene ena aima. Zimakupangitsani kuseka ena akulira. Zimakupangitsani kukhala wopambana pamene ena akuvutika kuti apulumuke! Yosefe analandira chisomo cha Mulungu. Kuchokera kundende yaumphawi kupita kumalo olemera mkati mwa maola 24. Chiyanjo cha Mulungu chikakufikirani, anthu amakukondani popanda kuwakakamiza kapena kupempha. Ena anapempha kuti awakomere mtima. Ndipo akachipeza, sichikhalitsa. Ndipo pamene kumwamba kuli ndi chidwi ndi inu m’pamene moyo wanu udzakhala wabwinoko. Mulungu Wamphamvuyonse, phimbani malingaliro anga ndi chisoti cha chipulumutso Chanu, kundikumbutsa mosalekeza kuti ndine mwana Wanu ndipo mdani sangasokoneze nane. Konzani maganizo anga, Ambuye Yesu, pa chimene chiri choona, cholemekezeka, choyenera, changwiro, chokondeka, ndi chosiririka. Ndithandizeni kuganizira zinthu zabwino kwambiri ndi zoyenera kuyamikiridwa kuti mtendere wanu usunge maganizo anga (Afilipi 4:8-9). Musandilole kutengera khalidwe ndi miyambo ya dziko lino, koma ndisinthe kukhala munthu watsopano mwa kusintha mmene ndimaganizira. Pamene simukumvetsa nthawi ndi nyengo yomwe muli, mudzaphonya mwayi, kapena simudzagwiritsa ntchito mwayi pamene m'malo mwake mukuyenera kupanga luso la gawo lina.

We know that Jesus is the Light of the world, for not only did He create light, but God the Father is known as the Father of lights

James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Colossians 1:9-14
What does this mean to the believer? Paul, in Colossians 1, answers this more articulately than we can answer it:
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Jesus said, that because we are followers of Him, we, too, are the lights in the world. What kind of light do we portray to those around us. Do those in darkness, who do not know the Lord of light, see Christ shining forth from us?

According to Paul's words, we understand that because we are God's children, we have been qualified, by God the Father, to be partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the lights. We have been delivered from the power of darkness, for we now have received redemption through the blood of Christ attaining the forgiveness of our sins. Do we, then, walk worthy of the Lord by being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God?

How concerned are we for those around us who still walk in darkness? When we see headlines such as those coming out of Egypt where the people are marching in defiance of Christians, are we on our knees praying that God would open the eyes of those who hate God?

It is easy for us to become so entrenched in our own lives that we really do not have all that great of a concern for the lost. It is also easy to become complacent, believing that those who do not know the Lord will always walk in darkness for they have no desire to come to the Light of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ. Could it be that they walk in darkness for they have never truly seen God's light manifest in the lives of anyone they know?

Let us, as those are the light of the world, walk in that light. Let us pray that the light of the Gospel will shine forth brightly through our words and actions that others may truly see Christ in us. Let us take the time to leave our comfortable chairs, and take the Gospel to those who have never heard.

This is our calling in life. This is why the Lord Jesus Christ saved us. Let us, then, walk as those who are truly the Light of the Word!

Kodi Yesu ankatanthauza chiyani pamene ananena kuti ndife mchere wa dziko lapansi? Kodi cholinga cha mchere ndi chiyani? Mchere uli ndi zolinga ziwiri choyamba ndi zokometsera zomwe zimawonjezera kukoma kwa chakudya, Chofunika koposa, umagwiritsidwanso ntchito ngati chosungira. Nthawi zonse ndimaganiza za pickles, ndikaganiza za mchere ngati chinthu chosungira. Kodi pickles ingakhale chiyani popanda mchere?

Monga okhulupirira, tili ndi cholinga m'moyo uno, ndipo sikuti ndi umodzi womwe titha kugona motetezeka masiku athu onse. Monga momwe mchere umapwetekera pabala lotseguka, wokhulupirira weniweni amakhala wopsereza nthawi zonse kwa wosakhulupirira. Ndichoncho chifukwa chiyani?

Dziko ili likulamulidwa ndi uchimo; amene amadana ndi Yehova, safuna kuuzidwa kuti ndi ochimwa. Kunena zowona, m'modzi mwa okhazikika kwambiri achipembedzo cha Mawu Atsopano ndikuti kulibe uchimo. Ngati china chake chili chokondweretsa kapena chokondweretsa, si tchimo. Zimatsatira kwambiri za I'm OK, muli bwino, malingaliro a chikhalidwe cha dziko lino.

Koma kodi chimachitika n’chiyani tikamatsegula Mawu a Mulungu? Aroma 3 akutiuza kuti onse anachimwa naperewera pa ulemerero wa Mulungu. Limenelo ndilo vuto lenileni, sichoncho? Si mmene timaonekera poyerekezera ndi munthu amene waima pafupi ndi ife, koma m’malo mwake, timaoneka bwanji poyerekezera ndi Mulungu wolungama ndi woyera! Tchimo latsekereza ife ku zitseko za kumwamba - munthu, wosiyidwa yekha, alibe kuyima pamaso pa Mulungu.

Khristu, komabe, anatsegula chitseko ndi kupereka njira yoti ife tifike kwa Mulungu osati mwa chilungamo chathu, koma mwa mwazi wolungama wa Ambuye Yesu Khristu. Chotero, kukhalako kwathu kwenikweni kuli ngati mchere umene uli pabala lotseguka kwa anthu a m’dzikoli.

Bwanji ngati tingosankha kusanena kalikonse. Tikhoza kukhala moyo kwa Khristu popanda kuvutitsa anthu a m’dzikoli, si choncho kodi? Ayi! Kutero, ndiko kukhala mchere umene wataya kukoma kwake ndipo ulibe phindu! Ife, monga okhulupirira, tiri ndi ntchito yoikidwa ndi Mulungu yoti tichite. Tiyenera kupereka Khristu ku dziko lotaika, kuti iwonso adziwe Ambuye ndi Mpulumutsi wathu wodabwitsa.

Kodi tchalitchi chakhala chogwira mtima pa ntchito yake? Mwamtheradi! Kuyambira pa chiyambi chatsopano, pambuyo pa kuukitsidwa kwa Kristu, mpingo wa Mulungu wakula kotero kuti palibe dziko limene Mawu a Mulungu samalengezedwa.

Tiyeni tipitilize kuitana kwa Mulungu kulengeza uthenga wake ku dziko lonse lapansi. Khristu anabwera kudzapulumutsa otayika, ndipo ife tiri pano kulengeza chiyembekezo cha maitanidwe athu mwa Iye.
