Hoje, 25 de Setembro, foi a Primeira Comunhão de 14 crianças da comunidade de língua portuguesa da Paróquia da Sé. Rezemos por estas crianças, para que eles continuem a sua caminhada de Fé e cresçam em intimidade com Deus.

A week to Share your Love with the Needy
We were deeply moved when we received a letter in the mail from a special benefactor. It was sent on the first day when the post office resumed duty (25/07) after the "relative static period". The benefactor wrote "Due to a lot people poor. Thx. Best regards. Lee", and enclosed a ten dollar bill in it.
It was indeed difficult, if not impossible, for Caritas Macau to organize fund-raising activities since the COVID-19 pandemic in January 2020. However, charity work must go on, the needy is always and forever our first priority. We are now organizing a food gathering activity to help the needy in this time of emergency needs.
It would be deeply appreciated if you can share with us some food, regardless of the amount. You can either bring the food to Rua de Pedro Coutinho 118 (entrance of Saint John de Brito School) , or call us at 28573297 for special arrangement. We are open on Sunday: 10:00-20:00
Monday - Saturday: 8:00- 20:00

疫情都過咗一個月多嘅時間，大家都留係屋企，同屋企人相處嘅時間都多咗，唔知道大家喺呢段時間有冇同屋企人傾下計呢？平時各位爹哋媽咪要返工，留俾小朋友嘅時間會好少，疫情其實係一個增進親子關係嘅好機會，不如聽下小朋友有咩諗法，多多關心佢哋，同佢哋一齊玩，陪下佢哋吖！比起學業，小朋友更需要嘅係父母嘅愛，有父母嘅愛同認可，佢哋先至可以健康、快樂成長。

前面同大家分享咗耶肋米亞先知書嘅內容，提醒我哋要「關懷弱勢社群」。啱啱過去嘅主日就係「世界祖父母」節，教宗話長者將生活和信仰經驗俾「後生仔」，我哋要將信仰生活同經驗傳承落去。關懷長者唔單止係傳遞愛，更加係青年同長者嘅交流。

II Dia Mundial dos Avós e dos Idosos [24 de julho de 2022]

Queridos irmãos e irmãs em Cristo:

Este ano, no domingo, 24 de julho, celebramos o segundo Dia dos Avós e Idosos, que se tornou um ministério pastoral da Igreja e se tornará uma tradição da Igreja. Para melhor celebrar este dia, o Dicastério para os Leigos, a Família e a Vida emitiu algumas orientações pastorais, esperando ajudar os fiéis das diversas regiões a encontrar a forma mais adequada de celebrar este dia, seguindo a sua própria criatividade. E o espírito de acção destas orientações pastorais é a partir do próprio meio pastoral promover a “revolução da turnura” preconizada pelo Papa Francisco (vide a “Mensagem do Dia Mundial dos Avós e do Idoso” deste ano).

Devido à situação da epidemia em Macau, adaptei e sumarizei as orientações pastorais do Dicastério nos seguintes pontos, para reflexão de todos e para que os fiéis possam colocar em prática, durante as férias de verão:

1. Encontro com os mais velhos: comece com os membros da sua família:

Os jovens podem reservar um tempo para conversar com os mais velhos todos os dias;
Dê-lhes um presente que eles gostem e tire uma foto para recordação;
Você também pode publicar fotos nas redes sociais e mostrá-las aos mais velhos.

2. Incentivar os jovens a prepararem-se para este dia junto com os membros mais velhos da família:
● Incentivar a ajudar e acompanhar os idosos a participar das Missas Dominicais, transmitidas Online.
● Você pode enviar a mensagem para o "Dia Mundial dos Avós e dos Idosos" do Santo Papa e convidá-los a refletir juntos.
● Dizer aos idosos que o Papa está a rezar por eles neste dia.
● Depois desta celebração, a família deverá reunir-se para compartilhar a experiência vivida neste dia.
● Partilhar a experiência nas redes sociais para promover a importância do Dia dos Avós e dos Idosos.
3. Indulgência plenária

O Pontifício Tribunal de Indulgência emitiu um decreto anunciando que seria concedida uma indulgência plena, no Dia Mundial dos Avós e do Idoso, se forem reunidas as condições para tal.
Devido à situação epidêmica que se vive em Macau, não é viável participar da missa e confessar presencialmente. Contudo, seguindo as instruções do Dicastério Sé, concedo uma aprovação especial para os católicos de Macau poderem receber uma indulgência plena, sob as seguintes condições: arrependerem-se sinceramente dos seus pecados, renunciarem aos pecados, rezarem pelas intenções do Santo Papa, participarem da missa online e fazerem uma comunhão espiritual, ou acompanhem os idosos da sua família nesse dia.

Por fim, peço aos fiéis que leiam, meditem e promovam a Mensagem deste ano do Papa Francisco no Dia Mundial dos Avós e dos Idosos e a sua catequese das quartas-feiras, sobre o tema dos idosos e que teve início em Fevereiro. Consulte o conteúdo dos documentos respectivos, nos seguintes websites:

MESSAGE FROM BISHOP STEPHEN LEE –
Second World Day For Grandparents and the Elderly

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
On Sunday 24th July this year we celebrate the second World Day For Grandparents and the Elderly. This is a day which has become one of the Church’s pastoral commitments and which is set to become a practice in the Church. To better celebrate this day, the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life of the Holy See has issued some pastoral guidelines to help the faithful in different regions to find the most appropriate way to celebrate this day with creativity. The concrete spirit of these pastoral guidelines is to promote the “revolution of tenderness” advocated by Pope Francis, starting from one’s own pastoral environment [see the Pope’s Message for this year’s World Day For Grandparents and the Elderly].

In Macau, in the midst of the epidemic, I have adapted and consolidated the dicasterial pastoral guidelines into the following points for the faithful to consider and put into practice during the summer holidays:

1. Meeting with the elderly: starting with family members
– The younger ones can take time to talk to the elderly every day
– Give the elderly a gift of their choice and take a photo with them as a memento
– You can also post photos on social media and show them to the elderly

2. Encourage young people to prepare for the day with their elderly family members
– Encourage helping and accompanying the elderly to participate in the online Sunday Liturgy
– Send them the Pope’s Message for World Day For Grandparents and the Elderly and invite them to reflect on it together
– Tell the elderly that the Pope is praying for them especially on this day
– After the celebration of the Day, gather as a family to share the results of the event
– Post the results on social media to promote the importance of the Day For Grandparents and the Elderly

3. Plenary Indulgence
-The Apostolic Penitentiary has issued a decree granting a plenary indulgence on the World Day For Grandparents and the Elderly, subject to the fulfilment of the conditions. Due to the epidemic in Macau, it is not yet possible to attend Mass and confession in person. However, following the instructions of the Dicastery, I am giving special dispensation to the faithful of Macau to gain this plenary indulgence on condition that they sincerely repent of their sins, renounce their sins, pray for the Holy Father’s intentions, participate in the online Mass and make a spiritual Communion, or accompany the elderly in their families on that day, with the desire to go to Confession as soon as it becomes available.

Finally, the faithful are invited to read, meditate on and promote Pope Francis’ Message for the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly this year, as well as his Wednesday catechesis on the theme of the elderly, which began in February. The documents can be found on the following websites:
