Since 1948-49, Christian Audio-Visual ministry we started by the American missionaries in Myamar (Burma) Later "Christian Radio and Audio Visual Aid Board - CRAVAB" was formed by Myanmar Christian Council based in Mandalay for operations. In 1976, Burma Baptist Convention initiated the Cassette Ministry (4) years project under the Christian Education Department, Audio Visual Ministry. In 1980, Burma Baptist Convention launched (10) years mission project, but in 1987 it became the Audio Visual and Information Ministry over-sighted by the Audio Visual and Information Committee. In 1993, this part of the MBC ministries become Audio Visual and Communication Department in order to be compatible with current situations of the country.
