24 MAY 2026 Pentecost was not selective. It was inclusive.
Inclusive means everyone regardless of their situation.

The Holy Spirit was not poured out only on the apostles, scholars, or spiritual elites.
God filled ordinary men and women. Fishermen. Tax collectors. Former doubters. Imperfect people.

This is one of the beautiful truths of Pentecost:
God takes great joy in filling ordinary vessels with extraordinary power.
You can be filled with His Spirit like we have experienced at SALT & LIGHT of all ages, children, teenagers, young adults, women, and men.

17 May, 2026 Tears have a tongue and grammar and language that our Father knows.

The phrase is broken into three comforting truths:
1️⃣"Tears have a tongue": Your tears speak loudly. They express the emotions of your heart that you might not be able to put into sentences.
2️⃣ "And grammar": Your pain is not a chaotic mess to God. Just as grammar organizes a language to give it meaning, God organizes and perfectly understands every single drop of your sorrow.
3️⃣"And language that our Father knows": God does not require you to pray with eloquent, poetic words to be heard. He is a loving Father who reads your emotions perfectly. This brings deep comfort for Christians.
The scriptures Psalm 56:8, reminds believers that God collects our tears in a bottle, and Romans 8:26, the Spirit intercedes for us with wordless groans.

Ultimately, it means that when you are suffering so much that you have no words left, your silence and your weeping are a prayer.

What three things happened during Pentecost?
1️⃣When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
2️⃣Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting
3️⃣They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. This Pentecost is the birthday of the Church, marked by the dramatic descent of the Holy Spirit on the early followers of Jesus and still happens today.

Nate & Tammy Lashway have been our long time missionary friends for 24 years. We got approved, went to mission's training, language school, and served together in Madagascar. Now they are our leaders for East Africa missionaries. Brent & Shelley Gray Teague are our leaders for all Africa.
Developing friends for life is a godly character God wants us to have.
