*THE FOUNDATION THAT CANNOT FAIL*
*“"So then, everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on the rock. The rain comes down. The water rises. The winds blow and beat against that house. But it does not fall. It is built on the rock. "But everyone who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man. He builds his house on sand. The rain comes down. The water rises. The winds blow and beat against that house. And it falls with a loud crash." Matthew 7:24-27 NIRV*
On what principles are you building your life or placing your hopes, both now and in the future? Any life or venture that is not founded on the divine and eternal foundation revealed through the words of Jesus will endure only for a moment, no matter how 'successful' it may appear now.
The true and lasting foundation that has already been laid is Jesus Christ, and everything besides Him is sinking sand. Therefore, it is foolish to build your hopes upon worldly prosperity, personal accomplishments, intelligence, traditions, past experiences, or an outward profession of religion. These are all sand, offering false hope and false security. They are too weak to support you in days of floods and storms.
Any house built on a weak foundation is bound to collapse when a fierce storm comes—the exact moment when the builder will need it most and expect it to shelter him. By then, it will be too late to build another. It is highly risky to merely hear the word of God and refuse to do what it says.
On the contrary, it is much safer to anchor your life on the teachings of Jesus, no matter how hard they may seem to the flesh. May the Lord help you give more earnest heed to the word of God you hear today, so that you may not drift away.
Good morning, and have a victorious and fruitful day!
