The MVP Message!
"As-salamu alaikum Brothers and Sisters, respected Moderators and Organizers, including Mr. Suliaman A. Barry.
First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to the Almighty for granting us the privilege to be a part of this exceptional competition.
I am taking this opportunity to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the organizers and all the individuals who have supported and encouraged me throughout this competition. Your kind words and encouragement have been a source of inspiration to me.
From the moment the competition started until now, I have been overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the numerous well-wishes and prayers I have received, both through social media and this wonderful group of like-minded scholars. Winning the online quiz and being recognized as the most valuable quizzer in the in-person quiz have been truly humbling experiences.
Some of the messages and wishes I received left me speechless and filled with an indescribable sense of gratitude. The positive energy and enthusiasm surrounding this tournament are truly extraordinary and have been incredibly motivating.
I must confess that the online quiz posed a challenge for me, not because of the difficulty of the questions but due to the negative feedback and demotivation I received from those around me. Despite the doubts and fears that crept in, I persevered and, with the help of Allah, emerged victorious. This victory serves as a reminder that success is not solely determined by our efforts or intentions but is ultimately in the hands of the Almighty.
I share this personal experience of overcoming demotivation to emphasize that competitions often present unforeseen challenges and obstacles. While I have faced setbacks in previous competitions despite thorough preparation, I believe that Allah's plan is always perfect, and success may come when we least expect it.
To my young friends, I urge you to continue striving for knowledge and deepening your understanding of Islam. In a time where distractions and reliance on the internet abound, investing in the knowledge of our religion is crucial. Let this competition serve as a starting point for enhancing your knowledge and making a positive impact on future generations.
Finally, I must express my deep appreciation to the organizer, Mr. Suliaman A. Barry, for the immense knowledge gained from this quiz, which has been more beneficial and gratifying than anything else. Several questions, such as the rulings on medical treatment and the prohibition of taking graveyards as places of worship, have significantly shaped my understanding of Islam. It is through this tournament that I have garnered a new perspective on these critical issues. The wealth of knowledge provided is not just for enhancing our understanding but can potentially influence our conduct as Muslims.
I propose that next year, instead of distributing cash prizes to a select few participants, the organizers consider using the funds to arrange a dinner followed by a two or three-day workshop on Islamic studies. Such workshops will not only fuel our interest in the subject but also deepen our knowledge of Islam.
Furthermore, I recommend increasing the total number of questions in the online quiz by 50% for the upcoming year. With this enhancement, may the Almighty grant you good health, happiness, and the strength to organize an even more successful tournament next year.
May Allah bless your late sister, "Aisha," and grant her Jannah. May her grave be illuminated with divine light. I pray that Allah bestows upon all of us His blessings and grants us the opportunity to delve into the history and ethics of our faith. May our journey of exploration and learning be memorable and enriching.
May you have a long and healthy life. Thank you and may Allah bless everyone abundantly with His grace, mercy, and guidance. Ameen."
