The Youth of the United Methodist Church Conference proudly joins the rest of Liberia and Africa in celebrating a remarkable achievement by one of our own, Dr. Tolbert G. Nyenswah, who has been appointed as Director for Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response (PPPR) at the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.

This prestigious appointment follows a highly competitive selection process and stands as a testament to Dr. Nyenswah’s exceptional leadership, professionalism, and dedication to public health across Africa.

The Conference United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) warmly invites all youths, church leaders, and the general public to its Annual Planning & Recommitment Service, a significant gathering dedicated to spiritual growth, strategic direction, and Kingdom advancement.

Under the inspiring theme, “Intentional Planning for Kingdom Impact,” drawn from Luke 14:28–30, this year’s program emphasizes the importance of purposeful preparation, unity, and commitment in fulfilling God’s work. As young people, we are called not only to dream, but to plan with intention and execute with faith for lasting impact in our communities and beyond.

This impactful event is scheduled to take place from March 27–29, 2026, at the Mth. Galilee United Methodist Church, Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County. It will be held in collaboration with the St. John River District Youth Fellowship under the Liberia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Throughout these three days, participants will engage in a variety of spiritually enriching and development-focused activities, including leadership seminars, planning sessions, site seeing, recreational and sports activities, as well as a queen contest and revival services. These activities are carefully designed to nurture leadership, strengthen fellowship, and rekindle spiritual commitment among young people.

We therefore call on all members and well-wishers to be a part of this transformative experience. Come prepared to learn, contribute, connect, and recommit yourself to the service of God and humanity.

Together, let us build, plan, and impact the Kingdom intentionally.

Motto: “Christ Above All.”

We have officially resolved to postpone Camp Adventure from its earlier scheduled date of January 26 – February 1, 2026 to the new date: February 25 – March 2, 2026.

This decision was reached after careful consideration of the concerns raised by the Executive and other stakeholders, including financial challenges faced by many participants in January and the examination schedules of some executive members. Their presence is important to the overall success of the camp.

We therefore encourage everyone to continue making their payments as preparations continue for what promises to be a powerful and adventurous camp.

Spaces are limited. Kindly send payments to:

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The Council on Young People Ministries of the Liberia Annual Conference, United Methodist Church (LAC/UMC), wishes to formally inform members of the Conference United Methodist Youth Fellowship and the general public that a disciplinary decision has been reached following a careful, prayerful, and thorough review of reports and concerns related to conduct during the 55th Annual Session and 58th Anniversary Celebration of the Conference Youth Fellowship.

In keeping with the standards of Christian leadership, the policies of the United Methodist Church, and the laws of the Republic of Liberia, the Council has issued a two-year suspension to Bro. Courage Y. Kah, Interim Youth President of the Monrovia District Conference Youth Fellowship, from all Young People Ministries–related gatherings, programs, meetings, and activities of the LAC/UMC, effective immediately, as outlined in the official letter attached.

This action is taken not as a measure of condemnation, but in the spirit of discipline, correction, accountability, and restoration, in accordance with biblical principles (Galatians 6:1). During this period, Bro. Courage Y. Kah is encouraged to submit to counseling, reflection, and spiritual growth, with the hope of future restoration and reintegration into active fellowship and leadership.

The Council remains committed to safeguarding the integrity of youth ministry, upholding Christian values, and ensuring a safe, respectful, and accountable environment for all young people within the United Methodist Church.
We humbly ask all members to receive this information with maturity, discretion, and prayer, trusting God’s guidance and wisdom in all our actions.

OFFICIAL CHRISTMAS GREETINGS

On behalf of the Conference United Methodist Youth Fellowship, I extend warm and heartfelt Christmas greetings to all United Methodist youths, leaders, partners, and members across the Conference.

As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we are reminded that even in the midst of crisis and uncertainty, our faith in Christ remains unshaken. Through it all, we have stood strong and united as United Methodists—anchored in hope, guided by love, and committed to service.
I sincerely commend the resilience, dedication, and prayers of our youths and leaders who have continued to uphold the values and mission of the Church during these challenging times. Your commitment is a true reflection of Christ’s light shining in our fellowship.
May this Christmas season renew our strength, deepen our unity, and fill our hearts with peace, joy, and love. As we move forward, may we continue to stand firm together, trusting God for greater days ahead.
Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year to you all.

One of the most memorable moments of the conference was the camp fire experience, which brought the youths together in unity and fellowship. Around the camp fire, participants shared songs, testimonies, reflections, and words of encouragement, strengthening the bond among districts and regions. The camp fire created a warm and spiritual atmosphere, reminding everyone of our shared identity in Christ and the importance of unity, love, and commitment within the United Methodist Church
