It is natural for a wife to be close to her mother, but marriage is a sacred trust that requires privacy. When personal arguments, finances, or intimate matters are shared outside, it can weaken trust and invite unnecessary interference. What is said in anger may stay in someone else’s heart even after you both have moved on, which can slowly create distance and tension in the home.

Handle this with wisdom and calmness. Speak to your wife respectfully and explain that you are not against her relationship with her mother, but you want to protect the dignity and unity of your marriage. Agree together on clear boundaries about what should remain between you. Strong marriages survive when husband and wife stand as one team and guard each other’s honor.

O Allah, unite our hearts, protect our marriage from outside harm, and fill our home with peace, understanding, and barakah. Ameen 🤲

After death, the soul enters a hidden world called Al-Barzakh - the life between this world and the Day of Judgment. It is the stage where a person begins to experience either comfort and peace or difficulty, according to their deeds. The grave is not just soil; it is the first station of the Hereafter. There, the soul remains until the Day of Resurrection, aware in a way Allah knows best.

Al-Barzakh is a barrier between this life and the next. For the righteous, it becomes a garden from the gardens of Paradise. For others, it can be a place of regret. This reality reminds us that death is not the end - it is the beginning of our eternal journey.

O Allah, make our graves gardens from the gardens of Jannah, protect us from the punishment of the grave, and grant us a beautiful meeting with You. Ameen 🤲

According to Islamic teachings, when a person is placed in the grave and people leave, two angels named Munkar and Nakir come to question them. This is the first test of the Hereafter, a test of true faith, not just memorized words but belief rooted in the heart.

The three questions are:

1• Who is your Lord?
Answer: My Lord is Allah.

2• What is your religion?
Answer: My religion is Islam.

3• What did you say about this man (Muhammad ﷺ)?
Answer: He is the Messenger of Allah.

Those who lived with sincere iman will answer with firmness, and their grave will become a place of peace.

O Allah, make our first night in the grave easy, keep us firm during questioning, and make our grave a garden from Paradise. Ameen 🤲

If someone dies and had missed fasts, the ruling depends on their situation:

•If they were ill or unable to fast and passed away before they had the chance to make them up, there is no sin on them and nothing is required from the family. Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity.

•If they had the ability to make up the fasts but delayed without a valid reason, then the heirs may feed one poor person for each missed fast (fidya) from the deceased’s wealth. Some scholars also allow a close relative too fast on their behalf, based on authentic hadith.

It is best for the family to consult a knowledgeable scholar with the exact details (how many fasts, reason for delay, etc.). Settling debts to Allah and to people is part of honoring the deceased.

O Allah, forgive our deceased, accept their ibadah, overlook their shortcomings, and grant them mercy and light in their graves. Ameen 🤲

Don’t stress over things you can’t control. Hand it over to the Almighty. There’s no need to spend sleepless nights thinking about your problems. It’ll get you nowhere. He will easily take care of things if only you’d trust Him. He’s the only One who can turn your life around.

A woman can recite the Qur’an during her period according to many scholars, especially if she is reading from memory or from a phone. There is a difference of opinion, but there is no clear authentic hadith that strictly forbids reciting Qur’an while menstruating. So it is allowed by many scholars, particularly for learning, teaching, or daily dhikr.

However, most scholars say she should not directly touch the physical mushaf (printed Qur’an) without wudu. During her period, she can read from a mobile, tablet, or recite from memory. If needed, she may use a cloth or gloves to handle it. Allah knows her condition and rewards her sincerity.

O Allah, make the Qur’an the spring of our hearts, the light of our chests, and the remover of our sadness. Ameen 🤲
