Program Details :

They have two degree pathway options: fully-online MS in Biology (36 credits) and/or thesis based MS in Biology (30 credits – residential/hybrid program).

Some students may qualify for a graduate assistantship, which includes a tuition waiver and stipend. GAs, in return, are expected to complete certain teaching and/or research assignments for the department.

*Application Requirements:

$20 non-refundable application fee (currently free until August 31, 2020)
Official transcripts of bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Overall undergraduate GPA: 2.75*
One-page letter of intent stating research interests and future career goals
Two (2) letters of recommendation from a previous employer/professor

Today is another day of mourning and deep reflection for me and millions of people in Africa and around the world who believe in the African Dream. You don’t have to be black or an African for that matter. Being human with a proper sense of direction is all you need to believe in this mighty dream.
On this day, we honour the sacrifice you made 42 years ago. A sacrifice of sweats, bloods and most importantly, your lives. Demanding your right to equal and quality education for all, you offered every precious thing you had. Your fight has brought some level of intellectual enlightenment to millions of children in Africa and beyond. To those of you still alive, you are our heroes and heroines. Those of you who have gone to the great beyond, you are our true legends. Your struggle to liberate the African Child and all children educationally and socially is carve on our hearts and will never be forgotten.
In Soweto, South Africa, on June 16, 1976, about ten thousand black school children marched in a column more than half a mile long, protesting the poor quality of their education and the right to be taught in their own language. Hundreds were shot and killed, thousands were injured.

More than ten thousand marched,
Hundreds were killed and thousands were injured,
Many were imprisoned and tortured.
Their bloods soaked the streets, while
their ghosts roamed the town.
You killed their bodies but forgot their souls.

Entrance and Placement Exam Information

The Administration of the University of Liberia wishes to inform all high school graduates in the country that the Institution will administer its first Entrance and Placement Examination this year on Monday, May 5, 2018. The second Entrance for undergraduate colleges will be administered on Saturday, July 28, 2018.

The Testing and Evaluation Committee of the University of Liberia is therefore pleased to announce that registration for the first examinations will begin on Monday, March 12, 2018, and last for one month, ending on Thursday, April 12, 2018. The Committee further wishes to announce that in addition to the undergraduate colleges' examinations, the College of General Studies, the A. M. Dogliotti College of Medicine, David Straz-Sinje Technical and Vocational College and all graduates schools will administer their first entrances on Saturday, May 12, 2018.

Meanwhile, registration for the second undergraduate entrance will begin on Monday, June 11, 2018, and end on Wednesday, July 2, 2018. The entrance will be administered on July 28, 2018. UL second entrance for College of General Studies, A. M. Dogliotti College of Medicine, Graduate schools and David A. Straz- Sinje Technical and Vocational College will administer their entrance on August 4, 2018.

As we go to the polls tomorrow,patriotic Liberians need to be reminded that Liberia is all we have and can never be deported from. Let's look beyond so-called party loyalty and every form of sentiments so we can see the best suited person to occupy the office of the Chief Executive of our country. Our future as a country will be determined by the votes we will cast tomorrow.
